Imagine the mix of horror and relief Charles would feel if Erik returned as a horseman.

All I want is for apocalypse to torture and break Erik physically and mentally.

He doesn’t even have to be a horseman, just apocalypse’s punching bag.

It doesn’t even need to be apocalypse, since he’d probably be busy with remy, I just need someone to destroy Erik’s self worth and make him question whether he can ever truly be good, if he is as bad as the Nazis he has hated for so long, and whether or not he deserves Charles’s love.
