People are really out here in the KP hashtags like, "I can't believe these career criminals suffering from PTSD, abuse, and generational trauma don't have healthy relationships."

I think it needs to be said that not all stories have to be about moving past trauma or pretending it doesn't exist. The reality of trauma is that sometimes you don't get past it. Sometimes your trauma is always going to inform who you are as a person, especially if you're constantly living that trauma.

It's outrageous to expect these boys to start having family game nights and living their best Wattpad found family fantasy lives, because that's just not what is in the cards for them. For some of these characters, the point of the story is even de-evolution. Porsche, Chay, and Pete all have respective paths to walk where they're going to have to let go of their sense of morality and justice to be with these men they love, who are unbreakably bound to the mafia world.
