Like Topanga, Farkle is initially missing from the introduction.

Topanga’s first appearance on BMW, she does a performance of a poem about the “Sun” being “the One”…Farkle does a dramatic performance in front of the class where he says Riley is “the Sun”. 

Later in the sloppy joe vs. chicken pot pie scene: yes Maya and Lucas both picked sloppy joes BUT we never see which one Farkle eats. When we see him next with his cakes he declares “not everything is about you!”…maybe not everything is about Lucas and riley vs. lucas and maya, but about Farkle and Riley? (Not to mention Riley’s first kiss is technically with Farkle and she makes a face similar to Corey after his first kiss with Topanga - the writers have confirmed that this was intentional)
