For both of my pieces, I used the inspo prompt Rainbow from the event.

this was my first piece! I had a lot of fun playing around with a shape for Adrian and got to experiment with watercolor pencils + alcohol marker blender for the sky.

“Rocky,” Grace drags his friend’s name out, low and slow, as he drapes back in his chair and tips his head to stare up at the ceiling while he spins. “Hey, Rock. We’ve been in here for hours. Let’s go watch Star Trek.”

“Am busy,” Rocky chirps back at him, short and huffy. “We schedule time for screen room later, remember? Still have almost 7,200 seconds in lab.”

“Sure,” Grace nods. “If we want to stick to that schedule. But c’mon, pal, I think we’ve put enough work in today.”

“Grace,” Rocky warbles, an exasperated warning.

“Rocky,” Grace whines back. “Please? I’m bored, buddy. Let’s pack it up.”

“Grace!” Rocky buzzes, his vents rippling frantically with agitation. “Grace annoying! Fine. Will be done in 1,200 seconds. Give Rocky quiet until then.”

Cold, clammy dread slinks down his spine, inch by inch until it winds its way around his lungs and constricts. He’s, he wasn’t trying to…he didn’t mean to be—
