In like 1998 my very femme lesbian friend went to Pride in London and was all excited at the “teddy bears picnic” happening in one of the city parks. She took along a picnic hamper and her cuddly teddy bear. Needless to say, the large hairy gay men all thought she was adorable and she had a great time

Let me give you all a tip that I doubt will be helpful for you, do not build a house if you do not already own a house. You might see “new construction, buy the lot and pay us and we’ll build this” listings on real estate sites, do not fall for them. A shitty one bedroom bird in the hand is better than a three bedroom new construction in the bush. These contractors suck ass. There is an 85% chance it will take YEARS to build that house and they will do it so incorrectly you will spend the rest of your life suing them to fix it. It’s not ALWAYS a scam but it is not a risk you want to take if you’re already renting and scraping buy. Get a house with good bones (get a private inspection) and work on making it your dream house, avoid paying for the concept of a house.

You are quite literally better off buying a fabricated home and having it shipped to your lot. It's way cheaper and while it may not retain value like a regular house, as long as you maintain it well, you're basically set for the rest of your life.

The double wide trailer my aunt and uncle bought 30 years ago? Still standing. A large percentage of the pre-2008 housing boom McMansions? Now completely uninhabitable, moldy and disgusting. Just get a trailer. They cost the same thing atp.
