This is your daily reminder to care about your dental health!

You need to brush them at least once a day with a clinically certified toothpaste for at least two minutes, twice daily preferably! Your teeth and your gums! Because plaque mostly builds up around the base, and that’s the stuff you need to clean away! Electric toothbrushes are recommended due to a more thorough cleaning, though manual ones are good too! Just use them and clean all the way to your back molars! And remember to replace your toothbrush at least every three months!

You need to clean between your teeth at least once a day too! With floss, or as many dentists recommend, toothpicks! These are recommended because many people don’t know how to properly floss, but toothpicks are a lot more intuitive! They come in many varieties, wood, rubber, or little brushes! If you use wooden ones, remember to soften them first with a bit of water! You don’t need to do this with rubber or brush ones, and unlike the wooden ones, those are often reusable! Insert whichever one you choose between your teeth until you feel friction between the toothpick and teeth! You need that friction to remove any plaque buildup! It may hurt a little and even bleed a tiny bit during the first few times! That’s completely normal and expected, it’ll get better with time if you keep it up and do it daily! Usually after two weeks people notice improvement! If you don’t, talk to your dentist! There are times when a toothpick can be too big though! Don’t force a too-large toothpick through a place it doesn’t fit! You want a little friction, not a need to force it! If you use reusable toothpicks, remember to rinse them thoroughly after use, just like toothbrushes!

You should also go for a checkup with your dentist at least once a year! Preferably twice! Don’t be ashamed if you got a cavity or otherwise damaged or hurt your teeth, the dentist won’t judge you! They are there to help you and keep your teeth healthy! They understand that life happens and sometimes shit gets fucked! They’re tooth doctors, they don’t judge you for getting sick, they just want to help you get better and keep healthy afterwards! Teeth are directly connected to the blood supply of the rest of the head! If you get an infection in them that goes untreated, it can transmit through the blood to the rest of your body and then shit’s really fucked!
