God the new special made J so much more tragic man. In the show itself we never saw J without her mask on except maybe at the very end in the final episode where it slipped a bit, but we never really saw the *real* J hidden underneath. But this special FINALLY let us see her. She's just as silly and unserious as the others. And she was just as much of a victim of Cyn as the others. But unlike N and V, who managed to avoid letting their fear corrupt them and keep them subservient, J stayed by Cyn to the very end out of fear.

Her fear amplified her selfish tendencies and, especially after Cyn arrived on copper-9 with her, made her turn her back on the only people in the entire UNIVERSE who cared for her and would stick by her side. She turned her back on them out of fear and paid the price, ending up alone, trying to repair the pod to leave the planet entirely. It's so tragic because it was so easily avoidable. If she just let go of her fear and went to N and Vs side, she might eventually end up happy. She'd be okay, could maybe even form a friendship with N after making things up with him for everything she did to him specifically, and be close with V again. She could've been okay, but made every wrong choice along the way.

God I liked J before, but this special is making me like her so much more. She's such a tragic character who ended up digging her own grave because she let her fear control her, making her push the people she loved away, leaving her alone.

Dude the new J short confirmed so many things that were just fanon before and I'm so happy right now.

J was lying to N and V telling them that they were working under JCJenson to protect them from Cyn.

The Disassembly Drones sleep in the pod like bats.

J has been in constant communication with Cyn specifically whom the very thought of scares the shit out of her.

Drones can get drunk on battery acid, apparently-

and probably a bunch more i haven't thought of-

Tho I have one question: Where exactly is J's "corner office"? There's no possible way allat fits into the pod, but the interior looks too put-together to be one of the buildings nearby outside the spire.
