So, the last picture I posted had me thinking of if some of my oc’s were monsters, specifically if Sydney were a vampire and Evvy were a werewolf. I started with Sydney mostly so I could draw these two. They’re my favorite couple. <3 I like to think that Sydney was sitting for a portrait, since Vampires can’t see their reflections and Vani decided she wanted to be in it too.

This was so much fun. <3 I needed to update their designs, so this was a perfect excuse to do that. Also, the expressions fit really well together because Evvy hates Sydney already and Sydney would definitely say something shitty to set him off.

Blue Amber is the fusion of my gemsona Amber, and my friend’s gemsona, Moonstone. The bottom three pictures are just to show the process. I might switch the colors up, but otherwise I like the design. c:

This is a sketch of me as a Crystal Gem aka my gemsona.

This was just for fun, so idk if I’ll finish it or anything. I decided that all of my choices would be how childhood me would want them. When I was little I wanted to learn ballet, but it seemed too expensive and I was overweight, so I made her fusion dance style ballet and gave her a sort of ballet outfit. I also wanted to learn karate, but thought it was only for boys, so her fighting style is karate. Her gem is Amber and there is a bee in it because I like bees. She also has insect like wings and can control wind. I also added a star because childhood me would have wanted me to be part of the good guys.

The only thing I didn’t include were my glasses because I don’t think gems need glasses? I could have given her a visor or something, but it didn’t really fit with everything else.

Dolomite, Rhodolite, and their fusion Rhodochrosite.

Dolomite was really difficult to color since it’s a white stone, but when I used the color picker there were blues and greens and yellows in the shadowy parts, so I used those. I might recolor her in the future, but I’m keeping her as is for now. I’m really happy with the other two, though. c:

I think they’re probably homeworld gems, but only because they were made after the war (They’re still pretty young). They would have joined Rose’s army if they could have.

Dolomite is very outgoing and usually happy. She’s more of a lover than a fighter, but she’s learning to fight to be with Rhodolite. I put her gem on her chest because she puts her heart into everything she does and cares deeply about others.

Rhodolite is quiet and sometimes shy. She is a perfectionist and often doubts herself. I put her gem at her diaphragm because she tries to appear calm and collected, but she has anxiety. Both can be represented by ways of breathing (deep breathing/hyperventilation). She also tends to choose the safest choice, fearing the consequences of the more dangerous one.

Together, Rhodochrosite is their love for each other. She’s confident in her ability to fight, but uses it as a last resort. She’s willing to help others, but not to the extant of sacrificing herself to do so. She’s a balance between the two that they both prefer to be, but can’t because of homeworld’s view of fusion. They use fighting practice as an excuse to fuse.
