I've found there are not enough Roy/Keeley-centered fan fics... I mean them as a couple, not with anyone else. So I wrote some! For those interested, here are some quick links. All are "possible" scenarios pre-series, during the series or “what ifs”. Since S3 ended, a few are now AU or non-canon. I also wrote a big fix-it fic for S3. Sigh. Apparently, the horrible Roy, Jamie, Keeley scene in S3E12 was supposed to be a callback to the Roy, Keeley, Phoebe one in S3E1. While it's a visual callback, overall, this is a callback failure. There is a far better one but it would have showed how badly these characters were treated in this scene.
What would have been more appropriate is if Keeley had said, “Don’t use me as a prop in your little fights” - a callback to S1E4 (For the Children - after the gala) when Roy challenged Keeley on doing that very thing to him with Jamie. Then, Roy should’ve apologized (again, similar to Keeley's apology in that scene). Maybe Jamie could've then also showed shame in his behaviour because he would realize how he just walked back so much growth. It would also have shown Roy realizing he was a hypocrite, expecting better treatment in that S1 scene when he and Keeley were mere acquaintances than he was giving to Keeley in S3E12, the woman who he apparently loved.
That’s a proper callback, but it would've called attention to the fact that the show decided to short shrift Roy & Keeley as characters in S3. Not to mention this scene was so gross because Roy and Jamie had always respected Keeley's agency & even in S1 when they hated each other, they respected her wishes. Hey... another callback, when Roy didn't try to stop Jamie from coming into Keeley's house in S1, showing he may have hated Jamie but Keeley's friendship with Jamie was none of his business. And Jamie knew Keeley's love life was none of his. They both knew they had no right to make her choose how she lived her life.
Regression is one thing, but it means Ted’s influence & all their growth meant nothing.
Just reposting this as we near Ted Lasso S4 and how dirty they did Roy & Keeley’s relationship & the fact that in many instances, S1 showed them & Jamie in a better light in the way they respected each other.

I was burned so bad by S3 that watching the trailer made me sad. I'm a grown woman who was emotionally wrecked most of all by what they did to Roy & Keeley as a couple AND as individual characters. I still love Brett & Juno ... and this close up. Jaysus, it's a punch in the gut. I know it's a comedy with heart, but they shred the heart of it to pieces in S3. I just can't quit this couple, but I also don't want to hurt anymore (and I'm already hurt b/c I don't want a universe where Season 3 isn't retconned & they aren't together). What am I to do?
I like to imagine Rose’s brothers gave her shit for not sticking it out with Shane Hollander long enough for him to meet the family then when they find out it’s because Shane is gay they give her shit for not passing him along to one of them and she’s like??? you’re not gay??? to which they’re like !!!! everyone’s gay for Shane Hollander, Ilya Rozanov ain’t special

They put drugs in this show, and this edit is the closest I've come to being able to snort it like cocaine. Excluding binging the entire show in 6 hours after first turning on episode one to see what all the fuss was about.
As an Iranian, I want to tell our side of the story so that my non-Iranian friends can understand why many Iranian people wanted this war to happen. As an Iranian, I am happy that this war is happening. Yes, there will be casualties, but not more than the 40,000 people who were killed by the IRGC in just two days. My people fought barehanded while being shot in the streets. So for many of us, foreign intervention felt like the only option.
We are not pro-Trump, but if he helps us get rid of this regime, Iranian people will stand by him. If any other country had helped us remove this regime, we would have appreciated that too, but no one did. So I think it’s important to listen to what Iranian people actually want ❤️
Most Iranians currently inside Iran have told their friends and relatives abroad that, God forbid, if they die during this war, the reason is the Islamic Republic, not the USA or Israel. I understand that non-Iranians have the right to feel bad about this war. That’s normal. Wars are scary. I’m worried about my family inside Iran too. But I know many of them are relieved that this is happening, because living under the Islamic Republic has been worse.
Non-Iranians don’t understand what it feels like to live under this brutal regime. For 47 years, they have killed, executed, tortured, and raped Iranian people. It’s time for them to be gone. My people tried to do this on their own. They went to the streets and were met with guns. The result was massacre. So many believe we have no choice but to ask for help from other countries to remove the Islamic Republic so Iran can finally be free, so the blood of the children, men, and women who fought for freedom will not be in vain.
We are not pro-Trump or pro-Israel. If, for example, a country like Finland had said they would help remove this regime and free Iranian people, we would have supported Finland too. This is not about supporting a country. It’s about supporting freedom.
All I’m saying is that non-Iranians should not decide how Iranians should feel when they have not experienced what it’s like to live under this regime. I woke up this morning to the news that Israel attacked. Yes, I was worried for my family and relatives. I am still stressed. But I also know many of them feel hopeful. Whether this turns out positively or negatively, I just hope the casualties are minimal and that we finally get rid of the Islamic Republic and make Iran free again ❤️
