Damn You, Todd Howard!

All the systemic racism and oppression, and the absolute LACK OF ABILITY!! TO DO ANYTHING!!!!! ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!! ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We play 3 now 4 huge players in pivotal moments in Thedas' history, and we don't get to do FUCK ALL about ANY of the oppression RIGHT IN OUR FACES, HAPPENING TO OUR COMPANIONS!!!!!!

Every single other game, even a game series, I've played, you can do something, but the audacity to both make us extremely influential and powerful, and yet let us actually do nothing to the state of the world besides who ends up where and in what mental state, is infuriating as all hell, and makes me feel defeated and pointless.

Like, I'm doing things, but I'm not actually *doing* anything, you know? There's no "oh the hero of Ferelden despised slavery and oppression, so we started changing laws about it!" Like, looking back on it.... Thedas doesn't actually change. Like, at all.

And my best friend, who has played through all 4 games and is pretty damn fluent in lore, even mentioned that later, they make it so it's not possible for things to change at all for a large portion of the world, story wise.

You can't fight back, you can't even say "hey don't talk to my companion/partner like that!". One of the most absolutely infuriating to the point I want to throw my controller things about Inquisition is how. Many. Times. I have the option to say "I am not the Herald of Andraste" as you stare at a Qunari/Elf/Dwarf, NOBODY FUCKING LISTENS. EVEN YOUR OWN ADVISORS STILL FUCKING CALL YOU IT!!!!
