So in the end of Act 3, The Entity erases Midas' memory before sending them to the 'Queue'. This wasn't The Entity trying to punish and imprison them (at least thats not the main reason), The Entity was taking precautions to ensure The Worldport (and worlds) were safe again.

Icarixis and Midas talk about creating a new world to send the Things to and Icarus offers Midas a way out by being in charge of it. When he suggests they can have power like they did as Quixis, The Entity interferes, telling them no, in a way.

From the Entitys perspective, Midas had God-like power that transcended reality and look at the damage they caused with it because they weren't careful. Why should Midas get that level of power again?

So Icarixis says they'll give limited power. So in simple terms, rather than having, Creative mode, world edit, commands, server logs/commands, Midas just has Creative mode, so they can't reset the world or even /timesetday the Queue.

Another worry for the Entity is Midas coming back and being "reckless" and causing trouble again.

So the Entity erases any memory Midas has of Quixs and the Worldport. You cant cause trouble if you dont remember. Its also why Midas' body shoots with pain when they try to go near the portal, its the Entity forcing them back, telling them to "stay away".

Traditionally, the main reason for erasing a Sherbs memory is for their own good. As we've seen with Icarus and Midas, having that much time stuffed into your mind can't be good for your mental health and can also be a bit disorienting, so they get their memory erased.

This is how Midas was different. Midas probably would have been better if they had some memory of their time as Quixis, but The Entity was not taking chances.

The Entity wants to protect everything as much as Quixis does, it just lacks the emotions/emotional complexity that their vessels would have.
