Positive: Though I think 74% of the soundtrack kind of just muddies into something generically appropriate, when the motif tracks hit, they HIT It's this really great blend of grief, melancholy, and aching hope that kind of reminds me of the more orchestral pieces from Pacific Rim

Negative: Sometimes it feels like the movie doesn't have its own style, and is trying too hard to emulate James Gunn

Positive: Kara is framed by the perspective multiple times like she's an incomprehensible eldritch horror tearing anything in her way apart and Good For Her tbh

Negative: Some of the plot devices start to feel pretty uninspired and repetitive by the third act

Positive: They don't shy away from the idea that despite how "cool" and fun-slob-mess Kara is, she's absolutely not in a state a person should aspire to because she's genuinely so deeply fucked up and numbing herself just to get to the next day, but she's also trying her best which doesn't have a high ceiling at the moment, but given the circumstances it's not unreasonable. Such a fantastically imperfect character.
