Just finished reading the Hunger games trilogy.

peeta is like haymitch in that he got strong from hauling around capital goods

katniss is like haymitch in that she helped raise her younger siblings

peeta is like haymitch in that he had absolutely no one left until katniss came around to him

katniss is like haymitch in that she had a covey made gold work that became more of a symbol than she could've ever thought

did he think he was finally burying the memory of lucy gray — a memory only he had, about a girl who brought out the good in him, made him doubt –even for one second– that maybe not all district people were bad?

did he think he was burying the memory of sejanus plinth — a memory only he had, about a boy who saw the games as they were, a boy who firmly believed it could get better?

"Peeta's still in the burn unit. He made it to the City Circle after all."

ONE line. This one line has me clawing at the walls because Peeta managed to follow her all the way. He was with her the whole time, to the point that he was just as injured in the bombs' blast as she was.

Because of the way she grew up, the circumstances the Capitol created--losing her father, starving, the Games--Katniss didn't want to have kids. The only reason she gives for not wanting children is that she doesn't want them to have a chance of being Reaped and not because being a mother is something she wouldn't enjoy being.

It is because of the Capitol that she doesn't want to have children.
