I ran out of my ADHD medication the other day. It wasnât until then I realized the extent that it helps me function.
Advocating for yourself with ADHD is so hard. No one takes you seriously, no one understands the depths it goes.
I feel like Iâm at a never ending battle with my mind, fighting to obtain self-confidence. Itâs exhausting.
I feel like the world doesnât understand ADHD and itâs stressing me out.
u know whatâs cute??? relationships that encourage both self acceptance and personal growth. also me

Hey just a reminder to all the people pleasers out there. It doesnât make you a âmeanâ person if you call out peoples shit. I used to let people say and do whatever they wanted and never say a word. Even if it hurt me so bad Iâd just let it slide because I didnât want to be âmeanâ . Then Iâd let it slide , and again, and again and so on. Youâll find with some people they need to be put into their place to be made aware of their shit. Unfortunately there are people who will walk all over because they know they wonât get a reaction. I dare you next time shut them down call them out stand firm, stand confident, speak the truth. And itâs so funny because youâll come to find those types of people picking on you are the most insecure. Thatâs why they prey off of kind people like you. They think you wonât call them out. AGAIN I DARE YOU call them out and watch the big tough guy front they put up crash to the ground. You arenât âmeanâ for speaking the truth and standing up for yourself and others. I speak from experience. Stay kind and amazing but set your boundaries donât let people have your kindness when they canât and donât respect it. Those types of people are toxic and thrive off of kind and un-confrontational people to make themselves feel and appear less insecure. Call them out then toss them out.
If you donât want to read my long as post. Bc I canât not over-explain everything when trying to get a point across. Lol I just saw this and I was like... damn I really wrote a essay that could of been told in a sentence smh

Donât say you have OCD because you like your room clean and you colored pencils in a straight line. Donât say you have ADHD becuase have trouble focusing and fidget sometimes. Donât say you are bipolar because your mood is inconsistent at times. Donât say you have any mental disorder unless you actually suffer the effects from it every single day. You have no idea what obstacles and challenges these people face everyday. Donât downplay their disorders to superficial tendencies everyone experiences every so often. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Goodbye :)
Ironically, I was diagnosed with ADHD, however I have that under control. And, before the switch, I was diagnosed with Autism. I barely missed the mark with the new point system, so I, legally, have no obvious mental disorders/illnesses as of date.
Oh, and to debunk your Ted talk just a tad, there is slight OCD, which includes the small things like keeping a room clean or organizing pencils in a straight and/or rainbow/alphabetical line. Following this, ADHD doesnât have to have all of the symptoms in order to be technically, although not legally diagnosed, ADHD. Further more, still following the theoretical concept of technicalities but canât be legally diagnosed, one can have a tad case of bipolar depression/bipolar mood swings. You can say you may have a particular mental illness/disorder if you have researched it enough to know what is included and which of your habits may show signs of the aforementioned illness/disorder and to know what those that have been diagnosed are, very currently, going through 24/7, 365/a year. Thank you for your time by reading my tid bit of debunking and using my personal experience with two of the thousands of mental disorders/illnesses to support people guessing they have a particular mental illness/disorder without going to see if they actually have it or just some symptoms that supports a bud of it.
I know what you are saying, I wasnât trying to come across as if your not diagnosed you donât have it. Especially as someone who has been left undiagnosed with ADHD for most of their life. Experiencing ADHD symptoms but never being seen or aware I had it myself. I donât at all want to be spreading that message. The message I was trying to spread was more like stop using names of âmental disordersâ as a way of communicating to others like you canât focus- âomg Iâm so ADD todayâ or if you are being a perfectionist on a certain day and saying âomg Iâm sorry Iâm so OCDâ . Obviously people with ADHD have trouble focusing and people with OCD can be perfectionists and need their colored pencils in line. But just because you canât focus or you are a perfectionist occasionally doesnât mean you actually have the disorder. The difference is if itâs a disorder itâs not something you just experience every so often itâs persistent and interferes with your everyday life and daily functioning. Like my ADHD is always there itâs not just me every so often experiencing inattention. Thatâs the problem people will replace a disorders name and use it as a way to describe how they are feeling on a certain day. Essentially donât use the name of a âdisorderâ as a way to describe something like not being able to focus, or needing to be tidy, or being extra moody. Say Itâs hard for me to focus today not âomg Iâm so ADDâ you know I mean. These âdisorders namesâ shouldnât be used to replace certain tendencies everyone experiences sometimes. adhd, ocd, and bipolar disorders arnt âsometimesâ things. Iâm aware there are disorders like PTSD and others that are trigger induced. Not every disorder is experienced everyday. Iâm not trying to say those arnt real and very serious. They are very much so. Sorry for any misunderstandings đ„°

Oh, no, I apologize, I misunderstood. My fault. I thought you were saying âDonât use these unless you are suffering the symptoms and have been diagnosed with itâ, my fault.
No worries I can see how it could be misinterpreted that way đ„°just wanted to make sure everyone knew thatâs not at all what I meant â€ïž

MUST READ!!!!!!!
ADHD is the most overdignosed and most underdignosed disorder in the world. We have a real problem with the diagnostic process. The DSM-5 is extremely outdated and still only directed towards dignosising qualities that hyperactive 6 year old boys possess.
Boys are vastly overdignosed while girls are vastly underdignosed. Studies show that ADHD is just as common in boys as it is in girls. However, it is not equally recognized and treated. Boys are 4 times as likely to be diagnosed with ADHD than girls. This because boys are usually more hyperactive while girls are more innatentive. This is a problem with the school system itself not being built effective for young boys. 7 year old boys whom are naturally hyperactive and innatentive at that age are given a label of ADHD. Becuase the educational system doesnât want to admit it naturally sets up young boys for faluire. They are told to sit in a chair for long periods of time, no horse play, no running, 15 minute recess time, and so much more. How does this make sense? any young boy can fail in this type of environment. Letâs stop labeling a failed system with ADHD.
(Disclaimer yes boys have ADHD and itâs very real however many times we see young boys misdiagnosed becuase they are displaying natural behavior created by a failed school system)

Lmao..... yeah it got worse.
NEVER let people take advantage of your compassion, kindness, understanding, and empathy. Stay beautiful and kind but donât ever let someone take those qualities and use them to walk all over you and destroy you. â€ïž set boundaries for those who donât have any.
