I don’t blog so much these days, but this newsletter will (I think??) be different?? Subscribe if you wanna hear from me, oh, let’s say once a week, probably on Fridays. I’ll be linking to stuff I want to buy online, but should not buy. Maybe you will buy it instead. 

I used to think I had a very tough skin and I am pretty sure I did. I worry that it’s getting thinner as I get older, which is very annoying, because I would have thought it was only fair that it be the opposite. It should be like exposure therapy — repeated contact with the stimuli should make it easier to bear. But lately I’ve been a real baby about tiny, not-that-bad-in-the-scheme-of-things comments like, I don’t know, “you dumb bitch.” (Ha.) Is it that I am getting thinner-skinned, or is that comments like these were chipping away all along, and I didn’t notice until the top few layers were gone?
