I’ve been in the 1d fandom for 7 years now, and I have lost connections with so many of my fandom friends. I have forgotten about the late nights in bed with my phone on twitter and tumblr in 2012, with my walls covered in posters and my earbuds in while I streamed Kiss You on YouTube and retweeting “refresh, not replay!” tweets. I have forgotten about all the insane amount of tweets that would follow when a band member became active on Twitter, in desperate hopes that I would receive a reply from them. I have forgotten all the Wattpad and archiveofourown books that I completely finished in a matter of days and cried over. I have forgotten about After, DARK, and other hugely popular fanfictions. I have forgotten all of the insanely talented viners that made edits of the boys.
It’s crazy that for the past couple of years I’ve seemed to forget the happiest years of my life.
One Direction was so much more than a band. They were the creators of a family, music legends and record breakers, and more. I wish I could take just one day to relieve a day back in 2012.
