Okay here it is
So, I finished reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and my thoughts;
It was slightly confusing, which, I understand cuz its writing patterns are different than I usually am use to. It was a lot like reading Romeo & Juliet for the first time. The more I look at the book though, the better I’d probably understand it. But, I did like the details they gave, very nice, loved it. Many words of queer and gay which are probably not the same meaning of nowadays meaning of queer and gay but I found it funny nonetheless! I had the illustration version of the book, so I quite loved the pictures in it! Really added to the fact that Hyde is a very distorted person and definitely gave the vibe of him being some kind of animal rather than a human being. That part really came in clutch in the last chapter, telling of Jekyll’s version of events. How Hyde was like a caged beast straining to be let out. It was definitely a lot different than TGS, which at the same time I think is really cool. I like how stories of this can vary vastly. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde definitely gave me a different view of the characters in TGS, since TGS was the first form of Jekyll and Hyde media I really consumed. Although I like Hyde being seen as his own separate person in a way and being a lot less evil in TGS, I did like Hyde in TSCoDJaMR, once again, because of how more beastly he was.
Overall, I liked it 👍 gonna have to read the books I have at the moment and then try to get Dear Henry.
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH FOLKS!!!

Two Years Hyding
Transcript: Wait, so you were avoiding me? Why?! And for two years, really, two bloody years? Seriously?! And how did you avoid me for two years? I should've seen you at some point! What in the bloody hell?
Here's another Hyde drawing! I really love how it turned out. I was worried that I might have to scrap this one because I was struggling with the sketch. I wasn't planning on drawing Hyde from below the shoulders and that was messing me up. I was originally planning on using the initial sketch for a one page sketch comic with Jekyll and Mind Lanyon, but I just couldn't figure out the proper execution for the comic. I still wanted to use my Awkward Hyde sketch, so I forced myself expand the sketch. And I had a terrible time. I redid the torso about three times. I had to give up the arms. I went from having them on his hips to in front of him as if negotiating to clasped behind his back. I had no idea what the context behind this drawing was going to be. Like, was Hyde being forced to be a gentleman, was he freaking out over what to do next after the events of the recent page, or (from the fic Worlds Collide) was the alternate Hyde stressed about acting like Edward. But in the end, since I couldn't get the execution just right, I went with "Uh oh, my boyfriend just realised I purposefully avoided him for two years. Oops!"
Anyhow, initial sketch plus alternate version:
Bonus:
Personally, I prefer the last one with the background effect without the words, but I felt like I needed to add context to why Hyde felt awkward/embarrassed. I was considering drawing an actual background, but, unfortunately, *checks notes* laziness and inexperience mugged my artistic abilities.
Anyhow, I might be making a short sketch comic revolving around Hyde, Jekyll, and Mind Lanyon in the near future. I realized something interesting yesterday that I actually haven't seen anyone notice yet. So, I was thinking of making a post talking about it. But, I'm pretty sure that a sketch comic would be pretty good way of getting my points across without having to write a twenty page essay. Will I still write a twenty page essay? Very likely, but people don't have to read the essay to get the point. I would be honestly surprised if people actually read through my entire posts. I just love rambling about my drawings :)

Three Things I Dislike:
I dislike the unusual shape of the hair. The hair at the side of his face is too wobbly, and the hair points up so high it looks like I tried to give him devil horns.
The uneven buttons should be the same size and evenly spaced while being aligned correctly.
I feel like I oversimplified his cravat and didn't take the time the understand how it functioned within the drawing.
Three Things I Like:
Overall, I like most of the shapes, and I think that the anatomy is pretty accurate.
I like how expressive his face is, though I think I could draw his face more accurately.
I like how the shading looks. To me, it looks nice, but I still need to work on making it more accurate.
Overall Opinion:
This is probably one of my least favorite pieces of fanart I've made for TGS due to how little creativity it has. But, stylistically, I still like it. It's still cute and fun.
Also, before I forget.....

Project 2025 outright calls on conservatives to fund and manufacture more “studies” on the “negative” effects of trans-affirming care.
I feel like jekyll has a hidden sense of laziness in caring for himself, and that shows in hyde where he won’t take care of and trim his hair, nails, etc lol
