On the topic of Mercymorn, everybody needs to get 300% more insane about Cristabel too. There’s a line in NtN where Pyrrha indicates that Cristabel was getting treppaned on the regular. That’s freak shit. Imagine being Mercymorn and watching your best friend get a hole drilled into her skull over and over and over again, and you spend the rest of your 10,000 years learning about the body down to the last nerve — learning how it must have felt for Cristabel better than anyone else in the universe, and knowing that the pain was for nothing. Worse than nothing, it was suicide. Cristabel died over and over, and in 10,000 years, she never stopped. Mercymorn might’ve eaten Cristabel, but I have to imagine the memory of Cristabel ate Mercymorn every day for the rest of her immortal life.
