Just realised nine out of the top ten heroes in japan in my mha fic are queer in some way, the only cis straight man being best jeanist which is more than acceptable
Chapter 4 of my mha fic 10 in 200 years that plays after the mha fic One for All and Eight for the Ninth.
For authors notes and tags, check out my fic on ao3. Kudos, likes and comments are always appreciated.
"This really is concerning." Toshinori mumbled thoughtfully as he looked over the evidence that his friend Tsukauchi had laid out.
"Agreed. The fact that both are still alive and have their quirks means we aren't dealing with another All for One." The detective stated, making it sound like a consolation price.
With a nod, the ex number one hero of japan contemplated the situation. The villian his adoptive son fought yesterday used a quirk that let his punches do damage multiple times despite only making contact once. Problem was that his officially registered quirk was Drip, a quirk that allowed him to move drops of liquid along his body and Izuku had confirmed that the man still had his original quirk too. The man had two quirks. Thankfully though as Tsukauchi had stated, the person that the punching quirk belonged to, Punching Plex it was called, still had their quirk.
"And the questioning revealed nothing?" Toshinori asked his friend.
With a shake of his head, Tsukauchi let out a sigh. "Nothing, only that both people have different names for the quirk, but Midoriya-san already found that out for us."
Right, that was another part of the mystery that didn't really fit, the name of the quirks weren't the same. But as he said, young Midoriya confirmed that it was the exact same quirk just with different names on it, the original owner called it Punching Plex and the villain called it multi Punch.
"There aren't any leads, so technically the case is cold. Doubt it's the last entry in it though. Your boy told all the other heroes to report if they fight someone with multiple quirks, right?" Tsukauchi asked his blonde friend to which he nodded.
Walking towards the door, Toshinori sighed. His mind filled with possible scenarios and memories of how he fought All for One, all the harm he caused, all the people he had killed just because he wanted certain quirks. What he did to his mentors grandson, Endeavors son and all the innocent people he turned into Nomu. All Might wouldn't let another villain grow to be such a huge threat, because this time he and his son were here.
Mukara groaned, her entire body aching. Yes, Kyuseishu-senseis Overhaul technique fixed all the damage, but it did not fix the muscle aches or exhaustion.
However a knock on her door distracted her momentarily as the voice of the voice of Miss Midoriya-sensei came from the outside. "Are you up Mukara-chan? Mimi-chan and Ori-chan want to talk to you." Her voice sounded timid, but at the end she had to hide a little chuckle.
A small smile moved across Mukara's lips at the words of her caretaker. "Yeah, they can come in." She answered as she sat up.
As the door opened, both Ori and Mimi ran in and jumped at Mukara to hug her. Their eyes were swollen and noses red from crying.
Ori was the first to speak, sniffling as he did. "You saved us! You got hurt real bad just to save us! Thank you Mukara-chan!" He blurted out, beginning to cry again as he did.
Then Mimi spoke. "You took a hit from the villain and got hurt bad for me! If it wasn't for you I'd be dead! Thank you Mukara-chan! You're our Hero!" The kid exclaimed, beginning to cry again aswell.
Despite the pain on her aching body by being hugged, Mukara hugged the two eight year olds back. "Of course! I want to be a hero in the future, even if i don't have a quirk. So i can't just let you two get hurt and not do something about it!" She exclaimed amused, trying to keep a cool facade, but the fact that Mimi called her a hero brought her to the edge of tears.
Inko was standing off to the side, watching this happen almost brought her to tears. She walked closer and gently ruffled Mukara's hair. "You did great, you'll be a wonderful hero." The greenhaired woman stated.
At that Mukara started crying. Having kids tell her she's a hero is one thing, but having her legal guardian tell her that she'll not only be one but a wonderful one at that. That hits different.
Two days later Mukara was back on her feet and training with Izuku again. They were both finishing a lap around the school.
Izuku smirked at her. "You've improved a lot, soon we might be able to go for a second lap!" He said amused at which the girl chuckled slightly. He spread danger sense to make sure that there was no one within earshot.
"I have to confess something Mukara-chan. I haven't been truthful about my quirk." He stated his voice and expression serious.
As she processed the words her brows furrowed and she looked up at the pro hero confused. "What do you mean? Is this about more decade force techniques that you keep as secrets?" Her words were filled with curiosity, confusion and a hint of excitement as she asked, making an assumption that more decade force techniques was the only thing that Kyuseishu could possibly keep hidden.
Izuku let out a small laugh as he smiled. "No, this is about the nature of my quirk. You see my quirk is actually called One for All. It is a quirk consisting of three different quirks, the original One for All quirk, which lets you gift your quirk to another person. Stockpile, which lets you stockpile strength to make yourself more powerful. And Bonding, which allows you to form bonds with those you love and grant them and yourself more strength through the bonds. Almost two hundred years ago, two of those quirks, Bonding and Stockpile, were forced onto the first user Yoichi Shigaraki by his brother Mugen Shigaraki, also known as the villian All for One. They then combined with his quirk, the original One for All and formed the collective quirk One for All. That quirk was then given from person to person getting stronger with each user and copying the quirks of the users as they gave it away, all with the goal of defeating All for One. And i, the ninth user, finally managed to do so with the help of All Might, the eighth user, and the rest of the Ennead which I'm bonded to." Japans number one hero explained, leaving the girl infront of him stunned.
Mukara stood there in shock with her mouth agape, not able to speak, which made Izuku more nervous than he's ever felt before. He just revealed the true nature of One for All to the girl he wanted to be his successor and she was too shocked to actually say or do anything.
Finally managing to shake herself out of the shock, she looked at the pro hero infront of her. Kyuseishu, Japans current number one hero, got his quirk from All Might, who was Japans number one hero during his prime. "I... That's insane! It explains all the different uses of Decade Force! And why your quirk seems so much like All Mights!" She exclaimed, a mix of excitement and realisation in her voice. "I have so many questions. If you're the ninth user why do you express more than just nine quirk factors? A-And how come All Might didn't express multiple quirk factors?" She asked elated.
Izuku let out a small breath that he didn't realise he was holding. "You'll get your questions answered soon enough. But first i have an offer for you." He said ominously. "I want you to be my successor."
The girl infront of him froze again, this time out of sheer disbelief. Not only did her idol just reveal the true nature of his quirk to her. No, he wanted her to be the next in line, to be his successor.
"Now you don't have to decide right away, but think about it okay? You'll get answers to any question you'll have in addition to one of the strongest known quirks in the history of quirks. I'll let you think a night about it, see you tomorrow." He said, starting to walk towards the school building, gods he was so cool in Mukara's mind.
Fuck i hope that looked cool Izuku thought while making his way to the school building, though he could sense that the past users felt pride in him for pulling that off so spontaneously.
Daigoro was the first to speak up. "I know you already told the kids and the rest of the Ennead. But it's not too late to decide to keep One for All." He suggested, though his tone made clear it weren't his own words.
Ryouji-san put you up to this, didn't he? Izuku asked the fifth user in his mind. Which caused the second user to let out an annoyed groan. Ryouji stopped talking to Izuku since he decided that Mukara would be his successor a week ago after she was ready to give her life to save Mimi.
Isamu however just let out a sigh. "Come on chief, it was a solid reason! And who knows if she's actually too good natured like Izuku. No offense. " The third user offered to his husband.
None taken. Izuku replied in his mind as he flew towards the Ennead agency.
Okay, it doesn't have to be necessarily bad. The Principal just called you up to his office, he surely won't kick you out. No, stop thinking like that Mukara, they wouldn't kick a ward out without proper warning. And if i have to i can blackmail them with the information i have about One for All! Mukara thought to herself, pacing infront of the door to Nezu's office. She was waiting for Kyuseishu and Nezu to finish talking about things she wasn't allowed to hear yet so she could finally figure out why Nezu wanted to speak to her.
"You may come in now." The familiar voice of Mukara's mentor said, opening the door for her.
Mukara hurried inside and quickly sat down beside Kyuseishu and infront of Nezu, they were both smiling which relaxed her tremendously.
Nezu slid a document across his desk to Mukara. "We originally wanted to wait with this until you gain One for All, but we've decided that it's better to do now." The Tiger Quoll stated happily, a hint of excitement in his voice.
With curious eyes, Mukara looked over the document, her eyes going wide as she realised what she was looking at. It was a document for a legal name change from Mukara to Muka spelled with the kanjis for Dream and come true.
Izuku smiled at her with a look he normally only held for his daughters, not that he noticed. "Well, what do you think? You can still choose a different name if you want. We don't have to send the document off today, so no rush."
Wiping tears from her eyes with the back of her hand, Mukara couldn't help but let out a noise that was half sob and haof chuckle. "No no, it's perfect." She answered, her voice shaky. No longer would she be called a void every time someone said her name, she was being given an actual name by people who cared about her.
Nezu, having forseen her reacting like this, pulled out a box of tissues and pushed it across the desk. "If you like the name i can finalise it right now and prepare it for send off."
The soon not to be Mukara nodded while wiping her tears with a tissue. "Yeah. That would be wonderful." The blue haired girl said, a wide smile growing on her face. "Thank you so much Nezu-sama and Kyuseishu-sensei. I'll honour the name and make my dreams come true!" She exclaimed excitedly.
Izuku chuckled softly at the girls words. "You know you don't have to make these huge promises all the time, right?"
Muka simply froze in place at that. "But… I feel like have to." She started before letting out a sigh and deflating a little. "Another thing to talk about with Hound Dog."
Both Nezu and Izuku chuckled slightly at that.
A week had passed since Izuku had offered Muka One for All. In that time she had her name changed from Mukara to Muka within a day, probably because of Nezu. But now the big decision was hanging over her.
Would she accept One for All or not?
The entire Ennead was sitting in a conference room of U.A., waiting for Muka to step in. She had met Mei-Day, Froppy and of course Kyuseishu, but the other six heroines she had only seen on tv before, so to say she was nervous was an understatement.
What if they didn't like her, what if they weren't on board with her getting One for All, what if- Muka's thoughts were promptly interrupted by the sound of talking from inside the conference room.
"Mei-chan stop that! This is a serious situation so stop spinning around in your chair." A slightly annoyed voice said from inside the conference room. Muka clocked the voice instantly as Creatis, the number four ranked member of the Ennead and number eight ranked hero in japan.
With Creatis words came the sudden stop of a sound that Muka thought was just an ac unit somewhere. "Oh come on Yaomomo-chan, why do we even have to put up this whole intimidation act? If her heart wasn't in it, her spirit would've wavered back against that villain with multiple quirks!" Mei-Day exclaimed, Muka recognised her voice. "She was prepared to die to save the other ward, so us trying to intimidate her won't won't stop her."
Next came a voice Muka knew all too well. "Well she does get shy quickly when it comes to things like this, but believe me once she sinks her teeth into something, she won't let go until she achieves her goal." Kyuseishu explained, a sense of pride in his voice.
Muka sat against the door, silently continuing to listen besides her better judgement.
"She was so determined that she even tried to warn us about the villains quirk when we got there, ribbit." Added the number five ranked member of the Ennead Froppy.
"Inko-san said she always helps her and the other wards already call her their hero." Someone added, Muka didn't recognise the voice however. But that meant it had to be Rule since she was the only member of the Ennead who didn't do interviews and only written Q&A's.
Standing up and taking a steadying breath, Muka prepared herself to enter the conference room. From what she just heard, she could determine that atleast Froppy, Mei-Day and Kyuseishu were on her side, so what if the other Ennead members didn't like her? What if she wouldn't be granted One for All? She'd still become a hero even if it's the last thing she does.
All the members of the Ennead looked to the door as Muka stepped inside. Creati, Uravity, Prism and Shieldmaiden glared at her, their expressions unreadable. Froppy and Mei-Day smiled at Muka, she had met the two pro heroes in person so they were slightly less intimidating. Rule and Nejire-chan were completely opposites expression wise. While Rule looked uninterested and almost absent, Nejire-chan's expression was bordering on predatory as she curiously appraised Muka. And then there was Kyuseishu who simple had a polite smile on his face, though Muka could tell he was slightly embarrassed.
"Take a seat." Uravity told Muka firmly, the sheer seriousness of her tone almost made the blue haired student apologise on the spot.
Quickly sitting down in the chair obviously prepared for her, Muka swallowed nervously. Oh god, she's seriously mad at me. She's the second highest ranked member of Ennead when it come to sheer destructive power and probably most destructive if we account for One for All. She could flatten this entire building in seconds! Wait, Creati, Prism and Shieldmaiden are also glaring at me like that. Are they mad at me too? Should i already apologise? Her thoughts were going haywire.
However in the chair next to Muka, Ochako wasn't faring much better. That came across way too harsh, didn't it? Why did i even go along with this intimidation plan?! I feel so bad, i just want to apologise to her! The pro hero cried in the head space of One for All.
Okay, maybe the intimidation plan was a bit too harsh now that i think about it… Momo agreed sheepishly.
Toru was banging her head against a wall in the head space. Why did we even do this! She had a worse childhood than Izu-kun and he couldn't even imagine people being nice to him before he got One for All! She's probably scared out of her mind right now!
Meanwhile Melissa was already thinking of an apology gift to give to Muka afterwards. Do you think she likes sweets? Anybody know what sweets she likes?
The other members of the Ennead projected comfort. Most of the past users did too, though they were trying not to laugh as the plan they advised against backfired spectacularly. However on the outside no ones expeession changed.
Clearing his throat, Kyuseishu looked at Muka, his expression turning serious. "So, have you decided if you'll take One for All? Everyone will respect your decision, no matter what ends up being."
Muka was quiet for a few seconds, letting out a breath she didn't realise she was holding. She wanted to start a big speech about how much has changed and how much she appreciated Kyuseishu training her and how much she had grown since Atsuhiro had gotten her out of the orphanage, but she remembered his words. She didn't always have to make big promises like the heroes on TV. Sometimes a simple answer was enough. She nodded. "If no one here has any objections to it, then yes. I'd like to inherit One for All." She stated, her determination not wavering in the slightest despite the attempts to intimidate her.
At that answer Uravity nodded. "She puts others before her." Her expression turned approving as she said that.
"Just like Kyuseishu." Creati added, nodding approvingly aswell. "And All Might before him."
Inside the head space of One for All Yoichi let out a small laugh. "Well some of us did that more than others."
Ryouji let out a scoff at that, crossing his arms. "It was a different time, i protected who i could. Besides you didn't do much either."
With a sigh Isamu patted his husbands shoulder. "That's because he was too frail chief. Also he's just trying to get under your skin."
Hikage tilted his head slightly. "If anyone has done it the least, it would be me. I lived like a hermit for over a decade."
Daigoro nodded. "You did, but you put the one's coming after you over yourself and kept training until you couldn't anymore. So all in all you were quite commendable. I kinda feel bad though for just forcing it on the closest hero i could find in my final moments like you did though."
En let out a sigh. "Same here, but if we're going by that criteria Nana is the most heroic of us all."
Nana let out an amused snort at that. "What, just because i actually found a successor before dying of quirk overload? Please, the fact that i found Toshinori when i did was a miracle and even then i almost didn't take him as a successor."
There was a moment of silence as it sank in that soon they would be transferred to the young girl infront of Izuku.
Breaking the silence, Quirk Understanding started speaking. "It was an honour for us to assist you in your work as a hero Midoriya-sama." The quirk sounded oddly emotional.
Daigoro shot up. "Wait, what will happen to Quirk Understanding when ten hasn't fully acclimated to One for all yet?" He asked, oddly worried about the sentient quirk.
"We'll most likely be dormant within her until she'll be acclimated enough."
"And when will that be?" The sixth user asked, not even attempting to hide the concern he felt for Quirk Understanding.
"We do not know. We can only hope that it won't take long." The sentient quirk answered, their voice slightly melancholic. They had grown a lot over the years they spent in One for All. With the vestiges of the past users to talk to and interact with, it grew more sentient over time until effectively becoming the butler inside the head space of One for All and even forming their own appearance. To say they'd be missed was an understatement.
Yoichi let out a sigh, slumping slightly in his chair. "Well we already said our goodbyes beforehand. So i guess this is it."
Izuku stood up, smiling at Muka, plucking a hair from his head and extending it towards the girl. "Muka-chan. Onec yoh swallow this hair, you'll inherit One for All from me, just like i did from All Might." He stated, his voice filled with pride even as a tear threatened to spill from his eye.
the animation discourse last week was about how all the big indie shows ex. murder drones, digital circus, hazbin hotel, knights of guinevere, lackdaisy, whatever, are Like That because their creators only take influence from things like gravity falls and steven universe and never seek out any other form of media, which is a really funny accusation if you've actually seen like, any of these shows at all

also i know it's a meme that we all hate writing but that's not true. i fucking love writing. i am so serious, it's okay to love writing. you don't have to hate it to be a real writer. this shit rocks.
If you read ecology books printed in the 70s and 80s, they were absolutely convinced that whales and tigers would not survive the century. There's a whole plot in Star Trek about how whales are extinct actually. Here in Argentina, we were sure that yaguaretés would have gone extinct. It was thought that rainforests would be forever lost, because there was no way that such complex ecosystems would be restored.
Now, you can go to Península Valdés and find that the whale population there is growing year after year, people can see them from their windows. In Iberá, where yaguaretés were extinct for over 70 years, there's now a population of 35 and growing, after being reintroduced just five years ago. As for rainforests?
We've becoming very, very good on restoring them. Natural environments, when given space and time to heal, can return to that they were. And after all, all natural enviroments are managed by human societies. It is up to us to implement a good management, un buen gobierno.
I firmly believe our children and grandchildren will see a restoration of Earth like never before.
Millions of people are working on this. You can learn about it, perhaps even become one of them. Or be a pointless doomer in my ask box. Your choice.

Oh woah you made the gross misogynistic guy a fat bald sweaty man? Should we throw a party. Should we call everyone. Should we throw you into space with a cannon.
