incredible though how the cw dropped supergirl instantly when it got what it obviously wanted all along (a new superman show). i mean season 1 purposely did not have superman in it so that the show could be 100% abt kara without her having to live in superman’s shadow. unsurprising that immediately once supergirl moved to the cw they brought him on so they could maximize off of his popularity. like let’s consider. supergirl has been on for 5 seasons & has a cult following and it is barely promoted, has literally no official merch despite every other popular cw having merch, has an incredibly low budget, has had its time slot moved around a million times and has been put on several weird hiatuses and all of this despite it (at least at one point) being one of the most viewed shows on the cw. they never cared abt supergirl as a show but what they could make literally the Second they got syndication and melissa’s contract was up ie a superman spin off. bc to them superman = more money = supergirl now a waste of money. love it!
