Back in Haiti for a week The missions training house is changing daily (already these photos are outdated), the fruit trees are starting to produce, the sunsets here are still on point, we’ve translated our DTS application into Haitian Creole 🇭🇹 and our ground gate is getting a face lift. SHORT-TERM TRIP TO ENSENADA

I love mission trips with teenagers. And while they can be rowdy and inexperienced they make great workers once they’ve set their minds to do so. This house reminded me of this fact again.

Read this in a blog YWAM Salem has featured on their website. While I am currently unable to look back at this summer and understand how God can use all the missed opportunities caused by our truck breaking down twice and stranding us for 5 weeks, I do trust He will use all this game for good. Beauty can bloom even in the midst of the disappointments.

I didn't know Mike was going to take a picture of me. In fact I didn't know where or if I would find this man, just that I needed to. I was picking up a few things from the store, while Mike waited in the car, when I saw him. He looked like almost everyone else in the store, if he was struggling I couldn't tell. What I could tell was the huge tug I felt to give him some cash and pray with him. This happened as soon as I saw him and yet I hesitated - I didn't want to offend him by offering money. A few minutes went by and I knew that if I didn't do it I would be disobeying God so I started up and down every aisle looking for him ... but he was gone. I checked out and headed to the car upset with myself. As I walked out the doors I saw him unlocking his bike. After a quick run to drop my bag off with Mike I approached him.
What we talked about isn't important for this story, though it was to him. I walked away knowing that God was able to talk with someone because I obeyed. And yet I had almost missed my chance. My own worry of what he would think almost cost him an encounter with God. In the end I'm thrilled I caught up with him outside the store and am trying to obey faster when God speaks to me.

Just a glimpse of Kidz Club with the Buffalo Dream Center

I’ve talked about how we love partnering with ministries that are long term . . . well I don’t think I’ve ever meet another ministry so consistent in their long term ministry. They go into neighborhoods for Kidz Club every summer for 6 weeks straight - AND they’ve been in some of these neighborhoods for over 20 years! Talk about consistent and long term!!
A great ministry for Mission Adventures to plug into.
Well, this happened... As we had our truck loaded up with people and luggage and were headed down the highway to Buffalo, NY for a missions trip. We made it 2 exits before the transmission went out. We were able to get a rental to continue the trip, but had to leave our truck in Knoxville to deal with next week when we get back. Please pray that the fix is cheap and that the Lord provides the finances to repair it fully. (at Knoxville, Tennessee)
RISK : what is it really when you are in Love with Jesus? And when you have given your entire life to the Father, Or when you have the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you. There is literally nothing risky about following Jesus. As long as you know you are following Jesus. When I get to heaven I want to know I obeyed God and not let the fear of man run my life.

Mission Adventures Conference in Wisconsin
This is real life for me right now (photos on snowy trees). Aside from the physical snow outside, I feel like I am growing 'like' these trees. That as I am going through rough times now, they are pruning me so that I may grow taller and be stronger to withstand more - like unexpected 'blizzards' in April.
Somehow I always feel like this conference has been cattered to where I am in life. Maybe it's becuase it's a conference for youth workers in missions or maybe because we listen to God about what, how and when to do things.
This is now my 8th MA Conference and my desire to attend in future years has only grown. Being poured into is important and no matter what type of life you lead you can always grow. And that's why we prioritze this conference. Working with teenagers in missions might sound like we are simply running camp (which it isn't) or having fun all the time (which we are), however we are super intentional in discipling the youth that cross our path. We want to be ahead of the game on how to relate to every generation, how to use tech to reach people, how to serve peoples need the best way, and even how to train others on thinking through every detail (like where to park the van during ministry so that you don't get towed or have to carry the coolers far). We are in pursuit of excellence and raising up youth to share the gospel and attending conferences like this one is how we do that.

Haiti Day 3
This was our second day with the street kid ministry. We played games, sang songs, colored and shared a few stories from the Bible. At the end we gave each of them a ‘gospel bracelet’ while sharing with them how much God adores them.
After lunch we hit the streets with the love of Jesus. We had the privilege see a few more people added God’s family.

Haiti Day 2
Today was a full day. We spent the morning doing a kids program for around 30 children, most of them being orphan street kids. We will be with these kids for the morning through Thursday.
Then this afternoon we went out to the land the YWAM Les Cayes purchased. We prayed over the land and went door to door in the locals neighborhood sharing the love of Jesus through evangelism and prayer.
Haiti Day 1
We made it safe to our location. We started our travel at 2:45am at RDU and it ended at 10:00pm in Les Cayes, Haiti. Photos from our 5 hour truck ride from the airport to our ministry location.

Unreached People is such a wide, nondescript term. Unreached yes, but by what and who are they? One of the last nights of our youth mission trips addresses this question and shows 'who' the Unreached are.
