#actually a couple more thoughts #I don’t like how some people act like max is some child who cannot be controlled by anyone other than one person #he is highly professional #he was able to work perfectly fine with Simon last year #other drivers speak to their RE in manners that are worse and yet they’re not treated like children by the fans #he’ll be fine #it’ll be fine

i really don't think there's anything that could replicate the feeling i had during max's championship charge of 2025. i think that was a rare, singular moment in time that you just had to be there for. and i do think it's a wound that will never fully close.

#hijacking this post to talk about the pr bit #because I’ve felt this week that while other drivers may make more inflammatory statements about their teams or other teams or the sport #in general #it would not garner half the reaction to max saying things of the same nature #for example when max expressed displeasure towards Red Bull #in a mild way mind you #suddenly you have other teams’ TPs talking about it?#since when do other team principles comment on the media statements of a driver that is not theirs?#especially when those statements are about other teams?#so while yes like today talking to him feels like pulling teeth #he would be in *much* more trouble if he didn’t speak like that 90% of the time #because every statement big or small *will* cause an unnecessary stir #but if course he has his PR missteps like the whole thing with that journalist he kicked out #max verstappen #hope this is half coherent sorry op
