I feel like this is really important for people to see. I’ve been saying depression and mess go hand-in-hand for years, but so many people feel like they’re alone in it. You’re not.

I always get criticised for this - more people need to recognise this as a symptom of depression

if the person i was 5 years ago saw the person i am today, they would cry with joy and relief of what they were going to become and accomplish. and that (not anyone else’s approval) is what makes all the hard work worth it.

Sometimes I drink too much vodka or eat 3 servings of macaroni and cheese in one sitting, but by far the most unhealthy habit I have is comparing myself to others.
