Auset as a Goddess of compassion
Our Lady is most compassionate. She was said to be a friend to sinners and the downtrodden, and protect mothers, widows, women and children. She forgives and even helps a woman who refused her in the myth of seven scorpions. She also forgives Set and spares his life, even after he killed her husband and tried to kill her son.
Not surprisingly, she is also a Goddess of wisdom. In Greece, she was given the name "Isia", meaning perception or intelligence, as an epithet. The Hebrews called her "The Face of Wisdom", and the Egyptians knew her as Lady of Truth and Mistress of Knowledge.
Compassion is wise, forgiveness is wise. It is hard, sometimes, to practice these things, whether it be toward others or even our own selves. However, let us take Her example.
Today, think about somebody you do not like or have conflict with, and genuinely wish good things upon them. Maybe even pray for them. Who knows what they are suffering. Afterward, think of yourself, and wish good upon yourself. Although it is easier said than done, let us work to follow our Divine Mother's example. Let us be compassionate, let us be truly wise.
