If the story doesn't make sense, (and I'm not saying mistakes here and there and some forgotten facts because time passed between 2 chapters. I mean actually systematic inconsistencies a human wouldn't miss) IT'S TRASH!

You all are ruining fanfiction with your A.I slop stories. If you have ideas, WRITE, if you can't ASK SOMEONE THAT CAN! ASK FOR A COLLAB IDGAF BUT DON'T MAKE TRASHY A.I FF BECAUSE THAT SHIT IS MAKING ME INSANE! Every chapter is making me angrier then when I read about an evil bitch ruining my fav ship/ fav characters or something like that.

Do you think the fact days are not counted, that they don't really try to keep up with time, only with seasons, and the back and forth between two timeline is also a way to give us, the viewers, the feeling of loosing track of time. Like the girls did after some time in the wilderness. Not making it a linear story, not only to keep some mystery and make it feel said mystery and make us curious about a future and a past, we get a glimpse at. Creating a feeling of flashbacks and seeing the future of the girls we are following. But also creating some kind of psychological experience making even US confused about how much time passed, only being aware of it by looking at the environment the girls are in. Is the sun constantly in the sky ? Is it raining ? Snowing ? When did they crash again ? How many winters ? How much did their appearance change ? Their clothes look really torned, is it because of the time passing ? Etc.

To me she was depressed and unaware of it. She grew up putting things into place to stay afloat. Mainly Shauna.

Yes, not very healthy to have someone as a pillar against your depression BUT she had no idea she was depressed.

Shauna was the only reason why she thought about the future. Because in her head, no matter what happens, no matter what she feels, she would always have her by her side. The future had to be bright if Shauna was in it.

I have a theory that Jackie might have been neurodivergent. I wouldn't be surprised if Jackie is high masking and her disgust to some things were not just simple "i dont like that" but also sensory issues. But even without it, her being depressed is enough to not have the ability to do things anymore. And she hid it by joking about it, making it look like a choice, not something she couldn't fully control. Something she was fighting against.

Jackie was depressed and not knowing what she was going through, why or how to change that, she put things in place that she THOUGHT she needed but were hurting her instead. JEFF! And I think, the parties too. She would do things, not because she wanted to or liked it but because it made sense to want them because she was Jackie Taylor and wanted to look like THIS and people to like her for THAT etc. She wasn't superficial, she was depressed and trying to construct something, a boat, to stay afloat.

All of that make sense alone, but it can also make sense if Jackie is autistic because it matches the autistic experience for young girls growing up not knowing they are autistic and high masking "high functioning (don't like that one)" so there is nothing to question on the outside. Doesn't have to be, but it could still make sense.

All that to say, Jackie was already feeling alone and lonely, unless she was with Shauna. When she realized her friendship was all a lie, she was already thinking of losing her life. Even before that, she was already thinking about it. Losing her V card was just because, like she said, she didn't want to die a virgin. Not that she thought they would die there, but because she knew... she knew she was about to die soon. When Shauna confirmed her hatred, Jackie had no reason to live. No friend, no love, no future. She couldn't see any reason. She already had so few. And the biggest one that still existed, even in a place as desolate as the one they crashed in, pushed her away. She only saw one future. The one ending there.

So she stayed outside, hoping she was wrong, hoping Shauna loved her, but ready to never move from that spot. No matter what it meant. Because at that point, she saw no future, no light, no life.

But Regina spent the whole curse aware of it, living the same day for years, and still having to work as a Mayor. She deliberately tortured herself, allegedly to see them "suffer". They didn't even suffer 😭 What was she watching? She enjoyed seeing them happyish but separated so that was a win ? I mean yeah I get it, Snow is partially responsible for the loss of her true love, so keeping Snow alive but separated from her true love makes sense... but she doesn't even know! Just kinda feel like something is missing. Yeah she probs saw him every day without knowing who he really was but that not the same as seeing her HUSBAND on an hospital bed every day!

At first, before learning about Neal, she probably thought Emma had a boyfriend in high-school and ended up with a teen pregnancy while also being a criminal. So a very careless and untrustworthy child in her eyes.

Then she found out this older dude started dating an underaged Emma, got her pregnant and abandoned her because some random dude told him he should. And that HE was the reason she ended up with stolen watches Emma had to take the fall for.

I wonder if, in theory, in univers, she would've thought Emma and her had more in commun then she thought. Both being in relationship with older man when very young. The difference being Emma was groomed, Regina was forced to marry. Emma might not be aware of how wrong it was. Regina knew how wrong her situation was.

I wonder if they built Emma character with the idea of her being aware that it was wrong. Because it felt like she acted as if it was normal and ok for a maybe in his mid to late 20's looking guy (who's actually probably 100+ who knows) to start dating a 16/17 year old and impregnate her then put her in prison. Even baby aside, it would still be F-up. But she acted like it was... ok. And no one reacted. For Regina it was F-up too but we can argue that in the enchanted forest it was viewed as ok. But what happened to Emma was not there.

Jackie dies, but she wakes up in Rhiannon's body. Problem is, Rhiannon is already a serial killer. And Jackie remembered everything, all hers and Rhiannon's past.

Maybe later, she finds out about this actress named Rosa Landry that suspiciously look like Shauna but with bleu eyes.

Maybe, later like 25 weeks later for each year after her death and reincarnation, Shauna wakes up into Rose's body.

Or maybe not.

Maybe she find out about adult Shauna and her life.

But what could be interesting is Jackie trying to meet with Rose Landry because she misses Shauna. Jackie freaking out because she is in the body of a serial killer.

OMG I got it. Jackie finds a way to meet Rose. She find a way to befriend her because shes Jackie F-ing Taylor. She knows Shauna is alive but she is still pissed about what happened and the fact she died because Shauna and everyone let her freeze to death. So like Shauna once did, she goes for the next best thing, which is Rose. But Rose is totally different. And she as a hard time connecting the way she did with Shauna. And all the new things, the technology etc she is struggling with doesn't help. Then she Rose start acting weird in her texts. But Jackie ignore it because she assumes it as nothing to do with her even though a part of her think she did something wrong and have no idea what. Then she decide to see whats new with Shauna like she often do when she really misses her. And thats when she learn Shauna died.

Then... what happen when Jackie/Rhiannon meets with Shauna/ Rose and Shauna freaks out. Even think its ghost Jackie again.

What happen when Shauna decides to ignore her now acting job to follow/ stalk her back to Carnsham ? And what if once again Rhiannon is suspected of a murder. But this time, she (Jackie) did nothing wrong.

After that Idk. But I assume something like Jackie finding out about Shauna being in Rose's body because she is acting more like Shauna, but not her Shauna, not fully, and nothing like Rose.

Shauna finding out about Rhiannon's killings because Jackie is shit at hiding stuff from her, but now Shauna think the she, as Rhiannon, is a serial killer. But what confuses her the most is WHY THE HECK DOES SHAUNA SEEMS TO LIKE IT!!! And Jackie as to hide that she is not the killer, because SHE is Jackie, not Rhiannon. And Shauna keep sounding like she want "Rhiannon" to kill again even though Jackie keeps denying the killings. One day, she even try to appeal to her and reassure Rhi/Jackie by giving some insight here and there about what happened in the wilderness, forgetting she is supposed to be Rose Landry. Jackie doesn't point out the inconsistencies with her stories since she knows it's Shauna and not Rose, so Shauan is talking about her past in the wilderness. But at one point Shauna realized her mistake. Thats when she gets suspicious of Rhiannon. Because why would she believe her ? She doesn't understand. Until she does. When Jackie slips up and talks about Shauna's best friends death in winter. Trying to say she saw it in the news. Except everyone thought Jackie died in the crash. Thats when she gets it. When she understand it's Jackie, and that what happened to her happened to Jackie too. And she understand Jackie knows about her, and she gets PISSED because Jackie didn't tell her!

I feel like Shauna would try to get back at her somehow.

At one point Jackie finds out about the cannibalism thing. Freaks out, ignores Shauna until she decided that it was warranted with the circumstances. But she freaks out again when she learns about the antler queen thing, the killings, the hunts etc and Shauna tries to point finger by saying Jackie killed too but it was Rhiannon!

They fight again. Jackie says something like "You are not the Shauna I knew" and Shauna is like "No shit Sherlock, we already established you never did and even if you had, 25 years happend in the meantime!" Thats when it clicks in Jackies mind that Shauna is technically in her 40's while she is still technically around 18yo.

What would be interesting for Jackie, is to play by Rhiannon's play book and saying something like "A middle aged women fighting with a 18yo over a dead friendship. I take back what I said. You didn't change much. At least not about this. Are you going to ask me to leave and leave me for dead in the snow again ? Or maybe wait until I find another boyfriend so you can fuck him? O~r, maybe make me think we are best friends again so you can crush my heart under your boot and throw me away like garbage AND THEN leave me for dead ? All of the above perhaps ? I guess someone like you that was rotten from the start can only change for the worst. 25 years and I bet you failed all your relationships. At guess I wasn't the only one dying alone. But at least, people still loved me at home when I did, some even still do. Can you say the same about you ?"

Two friends (arguably bestfriends) who had a crush on each other.

And both Hope and Josie are a mix of Jackie and Shauna but for different reasons.

Tell me why the Yellowjackets fandom is the only one really struggling with proper tagging ? Yall, YES you are supposed to tag enough for people the know what they are signing for BUT if you tag ALL the romance in your ff as MAIN romances, then the tagging becomes POINTLESS because I CAN'T find the ship I want to read about, but I end up scrolling through ff about ships I DON'T want to read about.

I don't have that problem with Hosie/Supercorp/Swanqueen.

But in the yellowjackets fandom, ff are all over the place! I shouldn't have to scroll to find a ff about the pairing I'm looking for when I tagged the pairing!!!! It's drowned into multiple tagged pairing when the story isn't about the one I tagged 😭.

My theory is that, compared to the others, it's a relatively "young" fandom. And with the arrival of new people to AO3, the misunderstanding of tagging etiquette became an issue.
