there are some lines in "a few of your own" that are very much NOT kingdon but most of it is so very them, especially "teach me how not to stare at you" which is just egregious

langdon and mel are literally facetiming 24/7 when they’re not together. he’s talking to her while he’s cooking dinner for his family. he’s got her on the phone while he does his laundry and talks about his day. even if he’s reading or listening to a podcast he’s still on call with mel so he can hear her breathe. falls asleep on the phone with her so he can wake up and see her whenever he wants.
