"age gap discourse" is really weird to me personally because plenty of the middle aged adults i've met (who've i've been attracted to as a young 20 something) have also been into anime, or comics, or animation or video games or pop music, but whenever i see age gap discourse pop up suddenly everyone is acting like 50 year olds are only interested in like. oat meal, sports and joe rogan, and the only reason a middle aged man can be interested in someone my age is because they're trying to manipulate me and like i dunno at some point it feels like a skill issue.

it's also weird how nobody seems to acknowledged the fact that they're are 20 somethings that just. are actually attracted to older people? like genuinely? like did you guys think "i want to fuck that old man" was like a joke?

part of it is that i'm gay and alot of the criticism that people have of age gaps involving straight people (usually an older men and younger woman) don't apply as easily.to gay relationships. but also because i regularly talk to people who are much older than me and it doesn't feel much difference from the way to talk to people my own age? like it feels like alot of age gap discourse comes from people who like. don't want to talk to their own coworkers and it's like i dunno people outside of you're immediate age range are still people with their own lives and interests, not saying you have to fuck them but i know alot of 20 somethings that are into the golden girls and donna summer like i'm sure they'll manage.

The "what the hell would we have to talk about???" argument is so fucking funny to me too cause like. What the heck is a thing you're supposed to talk about with adults your age? You don't think most adults your age also have vastly different interests, hobbies, jobs and problems from yours? Do you also feel the need to predict exactly how any conversation would go before talking to anyone in order for it to become natural??
