Diary of Tim: Part 2 (Third Person)
Tim jumped as he heard a knock at the door. His heart pounded against his chest as he heard shuffling on the other side.Â
“Masky, what are you doing in there?” The voice of a boy radiated from behind the wood. It was hard to tell his age from his voice alone, but he sounded confused.
“That’s not him, Toby. Not right now.”Â
Tim recognised the voice that responded to the boy apparently named Toby.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”Â
Before Tim could understand what was happening, the wooden door fell to the ground, revealing Brian as well as two others that looked vaguely familiar. A boy with greenish-gray hoodie and yellow goggles and a slightly older boy in a whitish jacket and a slitted smile. All three of them were covered in splatters of blood. The pale boy with dark locks smiled as he revealed a large kitchen knife from behind his back. He raced towards Tim with unnatural speed and all he could do was throw his arm up in defense.Â
“Finally!” The boy laughed as the blade slashed his arm.Â
“You know he doesn’t count, right? He’s just a normal human in this form.”Â
He turned back to Brian. “Same body, same points. I don’t care what you think, I’m totally holding this against him.”Â
Tim’s eyes widened. “Jeff…”Â
Jeff smirked and raised his knife to him. “See? He recognises us. He’s awake enough to count.”Â
Brian crossed his arms. “No one’s gonna be impressed that you beat up Tim when you’ve never been able to catch Masky.”Â
While the two argued like children, Tim slowly made his way to the open window. Though, he stopped when he heard Brian say his name. Perhaps he wasn’t as brainwashed as he thought. Tim’s heart skipped a beat. He no longer heard Jeff and Brian’s voice behind him as he climbed out the window. However, before he was able to jump, he was forcefully pulled back into the hotel room by his shirt collar. Tim stared up at Brian’s masked face as his face was pressed against the carpeted floor by rough hands. Toby sat on his chest with a childish smile as he held the white mask he awoke with. Tim struggled as the boy tried to press the mask against his face, but Toby was surprisingly strong and won. Tim glanced up through the mask, confusion and fear swirling through his eyes. Brian looked at his expression and his aura darkened. He grabbed a handful of his jet black hair and pulled upwards. Tim hissed as he was forced to sit mask to mask with Brian.Â
“How many?” His voice deepened with anger, which was so unusual, both Jeff and Toby looked at him quizzically. Brian used his free hand to pull out his black pistol from his back pocket.Â
Dread filled Tim’s chest as he saw the barrel slide into his view. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“The pills!” Brian yelled. “How many did you take?!”
 “four or five...I don’t remember…”Â
Brian sighed through his mask, pocketed his handgun and stood.Â
“We aren’t getting Masky back tonight, boys.”Â
“Aw.” Toby huffed. “But we got a mission to do.”Â
“Who cares?” Jeff interjected. “No one likes the straight ass anyway.”Â
“No, Jeff. No one likes you.”
The two man children started up another session of bickering and Tim took this as his opportunity to try and escape through the window again. Brian noticed him get up and pulled out his gun. A loud bang echoed through the night as Tim fell to the ground in agony. He looked down at his ankle, which was now gushing with blood. Brian ripped the hotel drapes with his pocket knife and wrapped around Tim’s wounded leg before picking him up from the ground. He tried to struggle, but he lost all strength from the bloodloss. He had no choice but to let Brian carry him to whatever hell he was taking him to.Â
“What the hell is wrong with you people?” Tim asked weakly, but no one answered.Â
The three silently marched him into the dark forest.Â
As they walked further from the light of civilization, the ominous sound of drums pounded against his temples. The song triggered a fit of violent coughing as blood filled his tender throat. Tim looked up to see black tentacles slither out of the darkness somewhere in front of them. In the distance, he could see the faint outline of a very tall, slender figure. His eyes widened. “Welcome home children.” A booming voice echoed through his mind as the drums became louder. “I see Masky has yet to awaken.” The voice said in a lower tone.Â
“He took the pills.” Brian said as he walked close enough to see the creature in full detail.
As Tim laid his eyes upon the expressionless, pale face, the drums were replaced with a sickening static and the edges of his vision blurred and faded. His coughing fit was back, this time even more extreme. Tim quickly slipped into unconsciousness.Â
