ββββ A quick guide to reading Batman comics π¦
β€· γI think that many who know the character or his mythology have already wanted to read Batman comics. But how to read it? Where to start? So, I decided to make this list to try to help with this, since I myself have struggled to keep up with the stories, and still do sometimes. Therefore, I sought to separate the hero's main publications in order of event in Bruce Wayne's life, after the Crisis arc. It starts with the most accepted origin of the character, Batman: Year One, with a 25-year-old Bruce.
Batman: Year One - The most accepted origin of Batman
Batman: Shaman - Period before and after Batman: Year One
Batman and the Monster Men - Hugo Strange first arises
Batman and the Mad Monk - Continuation of the previous story
Batman: Four of a Kind - Poison Ivy, Riddler and Scarecrow first arises
Batman: Prey - Batman investigates Night Scourge, confrontation with Hugo Strange
Batman: Terror - Batman is hunted by literally everyone
Batman: Gothic - A famous Grant Morrison's Batman tale
Batman: The Man Who Laughs - The infamous Joker and his most accepted origin
Batman: Venom - Batman becomes addicted to the drug Venom
Batman: Snow - Mr Freeze first arises
Batman: Year Two - Batman vs. the Reaper
Batman: Full Circle - Continuation of previous story
Batman: Night Cries - A tense and remarkable story of Batman
Batman: The Long Halloween - Batman's famous detective story, where Two-Face arises
Batman: Dark Victory - Origin of Robin Dick Grayson and confrontation with Two-Face
There are many, many more important publications after this, such as The Killing Joke, Batman: Wrath, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House, and much more. However, the objective of this list is to provide just a quick introduction to this universe, so that it can encourage new readers to search for other stories and medias.
