I'm seeing a lot of "do cishet people belong at pride" posts so I'm gonna throw my little wizard hat into the ring:
They absolutely do, not only is it good practice for us as a community to be accepting and welcoming, I also think that we need to remember that privacy is a thing that people are entitled to. It's so normalized to put your identity labels in your bio or wear pronoun and pride flag pins or whatnot in public I think we have forgotten that no one owes us an explanation of their gender and sexual identities. If you see a cishet person at pride consider this: They could be gay/bi/pan/ace, they could be trans, they could be intersex, they could be closeted or questioning, they could be there in support of a queer loved one, or there in remembrance of a queer loved one who is dead.
