As for Ford... My initial thought was of sort of Alfred position, like a knowing partner-in-crimes who helps with researching and all stuff.

But after getting some sleep: maybe he's the poor unfortunate Mayor that has a grudge towards Civilian Stan for loosing their common inheritance, but also respects the Bat for keeping crimes at bay? (And so Ford has no idea that his aloof twin is the vigilante. Stan starts adopting kids? How dare he, he can't even watch for himself! The Bat shows up with little sidekicks? Oh good! Some more help!)

That also means that Ford gets to be the mayor in distress and wait for rescue.

...on the other hand Fidds is sort of Lucius Fox technical genius. But he also not in the know because at first he got his inventions stole, had to track down a thief, and so struck a deal with Bats.

What's your opinion of the version of Jimmy that's not nice and portrayed more like Rico?

So, I fell asleep with the question, and I thought I had the answer, but it turns out late night me was too critical XD

So, brief answer: I don't mind him. But to me, somewhere between first learning about such character and current appreciation of the potential his "blank state" offers, came the sort of vague distinction where I enjoy Jimmy even at his low and where I'll be skipping his portrayal.

And it's more of "how interesting he is". Whether he has character aside from "mean as fuck", whether he has motivation and it has sense, and whether his interactions with Stan are enjoyable in either way.

So, if talking about more Rico-like Jimmy, I'd be all for ruthless rude Jimmy who still has a mean snappy tongue and can match Stan in banters. Who uses Stan for his personal goals and maybe there's always a punch in the jaw and insults when Stan fails his task but it's also obvious why Stan got caught under his influence, be it adrenaline, coolness or an illusion (or maybe it's something real .. just not a priority for Jim) of being loved/appreciated (depends if we're talking of them as pairing or just partners in gang)... Actually, I'd be even more all for Stan who is matching him, who starts to feeling used but also uses Jimmy for his own schemes, so their mutual faults are amplifying each other.

(probably there are several lines I'm currently drawing at how awful I can tolerate Jimmy in terms of Stan. One of which is outright sex assault)

What I usually skip is one-dimensional bad Jimmy who is bad just because it's time for the plot to be mean to Stan, so Stan is forced into drug addiction or prostitution or how Stan is supposed to be tortured this time. There's just no depth to him, either that the obvious "that's Jimmy and he's Stan awful ex/ex-friend". There's nothing to his actions aside "he's a reason for Stan's suffering".

I think Stan started growing his hair out after meeting Jimmy. He had thought about it before, but never really had the confidence to do it. But then he met Jimmy and realized that long hair didn’t make him look any less “masculine” — if anything, it only made it stand out more. I feel like that’s what finally convinced him to grow his own hair out too

I also really love how comfortable they are with each other. And how Jimmy doesn’t act like a stereotypical biker around him — he shows a softer side of himself, but only around the people he truly loves

I actually forgot that you even drew this scene! Oh it's as glorious to witness the second time. Proof that it's hard to make friends even on Escapism Island... Then again, the second attempt (with far less dangerous stakes) had worked out for their friendship! (Ignore that Jimmy is still salty about the freestyle summoning.)
