Our little man brings us so much joy! He is growing so fast and people keep saying how surprised they are when they find out how much younger he is than he looks. He was bigger than a baby twice his age at daycare 😆 I have already shaved the underside of my hair so he will stop pulling it, but let’s hope he won’t pull off my new magnetic lashes 😳 THAT would not be fun! We have a new video coming up this weekend for you guys! We are working on filming again too! Raf has been busy now that he is back in school and we are doing some more small stuff to the house. We did some serious work recently to get our garage cleaned out to make way for our EV (electric vehicle)! We are excited to be able to park inside the garage for the first time, especially in this cold weather! This little man hit a new milestone this past week. He is now sitting up for minutes at a time without any support! He will be six months this next week and it is bittersweet to see him making such strides. While he still obviously needs us, the act of sitting up on his own is the first step to independently getting around. He is so close to crawling as well that we think he might be moving around before Christmas so this Black Friday I am buying baby proofing gear and probably a play yard for him to crawl around in. I’ve seen people use blow up pools but I want him to be able to practice crawling to develop those muscles. My little boy tried peanut butter this week which may seem controversial but I did a lot of research h and read a lot of studies that have been done in the last few years. The newest studies and recommendations state he should be eating peanut butter around this age to prevent allergies. This I why we had a surge of peanut allergies because the advice said to do the opposite in the last twenty years. His next food will likely be squash and then green beans or some other green veggies. So far he loves everything he has eaten! 🥰 my little man is so curious about food! We got him his own little chair to strap to a chair at thanksgiving so he can sit at the table with us at his first thanksgiving! I can’t wait for him to meet more of his family tomorrow for the first time! This past week I put together little mans high chair and made him his first baby food! 😭 He is growing so fast! His first food was old fashioned oats cooked with hemp hearts and chia seeds and puréed. Tonight he is going to be trying sweet potato that I cooked and puréed since he’s been eating oats for a week now. It only took two sweet potatoes to get all this baby food! Each ice cube is 1 tablespoon and each jar has 2! I feel so good about giving him real Whole Foods without sugar or additives while making sure he is still getting his vitamins and fats for his brain development and growth ❤️ You May ask if we are going to raise him vegan as well and after some smart advice, we are going to raise him mostly vegan so he can make his own decision when he is older without getting ill or go to a play date without worrying that he will come home sick after eating food someone served him. But at home and for the most part at school, we will be giving him whole plant based foods. Made chickpea vodka pasta(20g protein in pasta alone) with black cumin seeds, squash(3g protein), and vegan chik’n nuggets(16g protein) mixed in and threw some vegan parm and nutritional yeast(1g protein and 300% daily b12) on top. For those that wonder where I get my protein lol you’re body can only process 30g at a time so I have excess in this meal that I could have left out the chik’n but I had a craving! Then there is the sauce but that was vegetarian since we are still transitioning our pantry but we do have a vegan vodka sauce we can use that is store bought as well. I just realized I didn’t post our costumes from Halloween and I wanted to share!!! Our family has a special bond with Star Wars from my husband booking for first seven dates by making me watch all the movies to our wedding when we exited to the imperial march to naming our baby Luke and finally having him dress as a Wookie for Halloween because the sound of a wookie is what he sounds like 🤣 we got our photos then he puked on me and passed out lol don’t worry I didn’t let him sleep in his costume because it had a good on it! I really never drank milk and I usually didn’t dunk my cookies in it but there is something about this dang oat milk that I absolutely love lol so rich and “oatey” I guess you say. So far I have used it for baking and it turns out perfect so I’m excited to try it in Mac n cheese to see if it tastes better than the coconut and soy mix I tried last time. I think this “milk” ruined me for all other milks🤣 I’m still shocked that I’m drinking it straight on purpose. When your vegan cauliflower crack dip is too watery, mix it with rice and omg so good!! Super comforting! Definitely relieves a craving I have been having! And the orange cauliflower looks so pretty and I can’t even tell the difference in flavor between this and the white but this one has more vitamins so yassss for vitamins! #easyveganrecipes #veganrecipe #vegandip 2 containers vegan cream cheese 1 Tsp of garlic smashed or 1 clove 1 head cauliflower 2 tablespoons vegan ranch mix(easy to google and make your own) 3/4 cup buffalo sauce (franks) 1 cup vegan cheddar cheese 1/2 cup oat milk (Optional)Add water to desired thickness for slow cooker(don’t do it in instant pot that’s where I went wrong cuz it burned so I had to add water making it too watery!
