This smoky pecan dip is a tasty and creamy vegan alternative to regular dips. It's great for dipping vegetables or spreading on crackers because it's full of protein-rich pecans and savory spices.
Ingredients: 1 cup pecans, toasted. 1/4 cup nutritional yeast. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 1 tablespoon tamari. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Water, as needed.
Instructions: Toast the pecans and put them in a food processor. Add the nutritional yeast, garlic that has been minced, lemon juice, tamari, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Pulse the ingredients until they are well mixed and a rough meal forms. As needed, drizzle water into the food processor while it's running to get the dip consistency you want. Check the seasoning and make changes if needed. Move the dip to a bowl for serving. If you want, you can add more smoked paprika on top. Add crackers or your favorite vegetables to go with it.
