truthfully, i’ve been here all these while but real life just prevented me from writing anything.

but here i am now, with no promises to write anything, but i will try.

author’s note: since today is Valentine’s Day, I decided to go with a V-Day theme. hope you like it!

[7:15am] “if you don’t hug me right now i think i’ll fall apart”

irene immediately halts her movements as soon as she hears her girlfriend’s voice drifting from their shared bedroom. she was just about to pour herself a cup of coffee (black like her soul, she likes to say). it was a nice sunday morning and irene was just about to start on breakfast. today is valentine’s day and irene has a whole valentine’s day breakfast spread planned out (honestly, they’re lucky irene can cook because god knows seulgi can barely boil water). 

“joohyunnn, i’m dying,” seulgi whines from the comfort of the bed. irene rolls her eyes and takes her sweet time just pouring her coffee. irene knows that seulgi is just clingy because it’s too early in the morning and seulgi probably wanted to steal some of her body warmth. a small smile plays on her lips as she takes a slow sip of her warm beverage. 

irene has always been known to the public as someone who is very serious and rare are the moments where she would crack a smile. however, thinking of her girlfriend never fails to bring a surge of happiness. seulgi, who is kind and brave and loving. an absolute dork but oh so beautiful. seulgi who stuck with her at her lowest and the woman who fell in love with her at a time when irene was finding it hard to love herself. 

finally deciding that she’s made seulgi wait for long enough, irene finally makes her way to their bedroom. she stops at the doorway and chuckles at the scene she sees before her. seulgi has her hair covering most of her face and just one leg draped over the blankets. she’s also managed to rotate her body across the bed, successfully taking up all the space on it. 

irene is trying so hard not to laugh out loud as to not wake her sleeping girlfriend up. she does, however, reach for her phone in her back pocket and quickly snaps a picture of the scene. she giggles quietly as she inspects the new photo on her phone. she already has plans on using it as harmless blackmail material in the near future. the other girls would have a field day with this.

irene pockets her phone and gazes softly at her girlfriend again. it only takes another two seconds for her to decide that breakfast can wait and cuddling with her girlfriend is at the top of her priorities right now. 

she slides her slippers off and attempts to get comfortable next to her girlfriend, which is actually proving to be a very difficult task as seulgi has somehow managed to stretch across the bed horizontally. irene finally finds a comfortable position on the bed, tucked comfortably into seulgi’s sides with her arms resting across seulgi’s abdomen. 

irene has her head resting right above seulgi’s heart, like always. the steady beating of her heart almost lulls irene to sleep, she can already feel her eyelids getting heavier and heavier. irene barely registers seulgi’s arms wrapping around her and her sleepy voice saying something before finally succumbing to sleep.

oh crap i just saw this hahah. Sorry anon, I’ve been off tumblr for a while but i’m back now! To answer your question, I actually do take reader x idol requests :D However, I don’t really write smut

[5:40pm] “why do i love you so much?”

taeyeon stops moving, her right arm still in the air ready to hit the beat. she whips around to the face the source of the sudden interruption, the guilty pout on her lips making her seem like a puppy that just ruined her owner’s favourite pair of shoes. 

“oh hey, baby” taeyeon sheepishly says, finally bringing her arms down. 

she was in the middle of a game of beat saber, hence why she had her arms flying in the air just a few seconds ago. taeyeon was determined to beat sunny’s high score on Rap God, even if it killed her.

jessica looks at her, unimpressed. the living room of their shared apartment looks like it’s been destroyed by a hurricane. there are clothes hanging off all the furniture and about a dozen takeout boxes on just about every flat surface in the living room. 

“taeyeon...”

“i’m sorry, baby but i-” if jessica could've seen taeyeon’s puppy eyes right now, she would've forgiven her girlfriend instantly. but silly taeyeon still had the VR goggles over her eyes.

“taeyeon, you still have the goggles on.”

“oh, right.” taeyeon finally reaches up to take the headset off. she blinks a few times as her eyes adjust to the light in the living room. when her gaze finally settles on her slightly annoyed but very sexy girlfriend, taeyeon shoots her a dorky lopsided smile. 

“hey beautiful.”

jessica struggles to keep a straight on. how can she still be mad when her girlfriend just looks so adorable with her messy hair and stupid grin?

jessica just sighs and opens her arms for a long-overdue hug. taeyeon shuffles over and sinks into jessica’s embrace, almost purring in contentment. 

“why do i love you so much?” jessica mumbles into taeyeon’s neck. 

“you already said that”

“taeyeon.”

“yes, baby?”

“be quiet.”

[6:03am] “come back to bed please”

a small voice croaks out, breaking the silence of the early morning. seulgi looks up from the document she’s reading over and turns to the source. she sees the small face of her girlfriend peeking out from under thick blankets, messy hair falling in her face.

“hi baby,” seulgi softly says.

the bottom half of irene’s face isn't visible but seulgi knows her girlfriend just broke out into a smile, judging by the way irene’s eyes crinkle cutely. 

“seulgi, come back to bed. it’s too early.” irene softly croaks out, the sleep still evident in her voice.

“but i-” seulgi doesn’t get to finish her sentence because irene slowly stretches out into a slow yawn, effectively distracting seulgi from all train of thought.

“god, she’s so cute” 

“huh?” irene tilts her head in confusion. 

“what?” 

“you said i’m cute”

“oh” seulgi could've sworn she said that in her head. “it’s true, you are cute”

irene rolls her eyes but the small smile forming on her lips betrays her true feelings. “just come back to bed, kang.”

[2:37am] “i can’t lose you.”

rosé stands there, unshed tears in her eyes. she's not crying yet but you can hear the shakiness in her voice whenever she opens her mouth to speak. she tries her best to remain composed but with each passing second that lisa doesn't respond, she feels her composure slipping away.

“please” rosé reaches out to grab the sleeve of lisa’s shirt but lisa moves her arms just out of reach and rosé flinches as if she's been burned. the silence is deafening but rosé swears she can hear the blood rushing through her veins and the cracks slowly forming in her heart.

“lisa,” rosé pleads, the tears already flowing down her porcelain cheeks. “i. can’t. lose. you.”

they've been each other’s everything for years now, and rosé swears she wouldn't survive it if it all ends right here. she can’t even remember how this argument started but it’s been months in the making. now hours later, harsh words were carelessly thrown and they still haven't reached an understanding. rosé takes a deep breath and holds it, because it’s the only thing she can think of doing when it feels like everything is on the edge of falling apart. 

lisa utters the three words that pushes everything off the edge and rosé releases the breathe she's been holding, barely managing to keep her knees from buckling under the sudden weight on her shoulders. 

“you already did.” three words, and just like that, the tense atmosphere shatters and rosé feels her entire life collapse. she doesn't notice lisa take a step back and turn around towards the door. she doesn't hear the front door slam shut as lisa walks out of their shared home, probably forever. all she can concentrate on is her shallow breathing and the blood rushing through to her head.

[3.43am] “are you leaving?”

lisa stops, one hand on the doorknob while the other clutches her carryon like her life depended on it. she doesn't turn around but she doesn't open the door either. the only sounds breaking the suffocating silence are the gentle whirring of the fan and the steady breathing of the woman behind her.

“lisa,” jennie calls out softly, her voice just slightly above a whisper. the air was thick with anticipation and jennie counts to 8 in her head before she hears lisa let out a soft sigh.

slowly, lisa turns to face jennie. the only light source is the moon shining bright in twilight sky but lisa wishes that it was completely pitch black instead. because right now, the moonlight filtering in through the windows is enough to reflect in jennie’s glistening eyes.

jennie blinks and lisa’s heart clenches as she watches a lone tear slowly slides down jennie’s cheek. 

lisa steels herself before she opens her mouth to respond. “I'm sorry, jennie.” lisa promptly turns around and leaves through the door without sparing another glance at the lonely woman just standing there.
