wait it's actually crazy good???

#among us #genuinely a really effective murder mystery after it gets going #+the semi absurdist humour of the game's environment design is translated really well into the writing #also its really well animated both when it commits to it's art style (esp. with the body horror)#asw as when it deviates from it for comedy purposes #all in all its an adaptation that really understands it's source material #which makes sense given its written by BDG #horror comedy is one of those genres which is super hit or miss but i think this one really nailed it #also after every character dies theyre dead in every subsequent opening sequence which is fun

Eskew action scenes: the thing that is not my mailman grinned and it's black oily eyes stared into my soul, I ran faster than I've ever ran before but it seemed to be getting closer by simply striding calmly... I jam my mechanical pencil in his chest and it bursts into a million beetles the beetles leave in every direction but some of them stay and their black bodies form the shape of letters that spell out "fuck you specifically David Ward, signed: Eskew"

Silt Verses action scenes: WHAT IN TARNATION IS THAT!!! (sound of something wet ripping appart and a godzilla roar) AAAAAAH *sound of Carpenter rolling down a hill and grunting, then the cartoonish sound of her bouncing on a trampoline and then a crash of falling into a trash bin, a cat screams, she gets up and you can hear the tin cans getting bent as she moves "fucking hell" an ice cream truck tune drives by, the sound director is on the floor twitching
