On a very different note: BLOOD. I wish we got to see her bleed, especially with how ripped up she gets! I can’t tell if this would make other people more or less comfortable around her. It’s a strong reminder that she’s a person like everyone else, but also would make her dismissive attitude towards her own feelings more off-putting. What do you mean you’re “fine”?! You just got your viscera scattered all over the floor.

Seriously tho, I think the fact she is so nonchalant about getting physically screwed up so often (and we can assume it’s way more than we see based on Jax’s comments) is clear and intentional characterization. She just puts herself back together like she did irl, acting as though nothing’s wrong, cause god knows her mother wouldn’t give a shit.

i realize now that im sorta a fake plushie organs enjoyer fan because ive never really thought that far ahead about it on like. the actual guts spilling out of ur stomach part 😭.

on the topic of blood though!!!! i lowkey get why it was cut since, theres not a lot that her having plush organs can accomplish that isnt already perfectly capable of being visceral with just the stuffing (though a heart would have been some REALLY good compensation for that :)))). episode 6 showcased that especially, i liked that whenever she got shot there was always tiny bits of stuffing floating down in the aftermath of it

but the funny thing is for seeing what might as well be a bloody corpse on screen.... nobody GAF!!!!!! which was understandable in this context. but there was a LOT of popular discussion after ep 6's teaser where people expected pomni to be way more affected by seeing, well, things like these;

theres also that ad where kinger was driving and performing a hit and run on Everyone and how ragatha's body didnt even HAVE to be visible to show that she was also a Victim

i think its really awesome and cool that just a few pieces of stuffing could leave the outcome of that up to ur imagination. for better or worse 💖

what sucks is that the show never follows up on just. how genuinely horrible this is to her? to depersonalize her own body to the point that its normalized and fine for her to be brutalized like this? for her to just get up w a smile on her face and say shes okay with it?

it mirrors discussions where jax's actions are said to be 'not that serious' since they live in a world where their bodies do not behave as real bodies do. the reason why ragatha originally having plush organs was so important to me was that express fact that they were INTENDED to be seen, and hence, that all this slapstick violence that was so often her 'gimmick' was not all just accidental jokes or what have you. me seeing people being glad it was cut invokes the same feeling as i said a couple of days ago where i get why people dont like jealous ragatha in funbun fics; that i know where theyre coming from but it feels like such a fundamental part of her character that cutting it out feels like intentionally putting a cover on it to ignore a major part of what makes ragatha, RAGATHA

Idk, maybe it's a me problem, and yeah the comic had blood. But it was an au, and made me disappointed on how the fandom got ready to defend Jax, Pomni and started bashing Ragatha fans in the quotes.

maybe im a little doodoo stupid or missing something but i dont think she infantilizes pomni that much either save for that one line in ep2 (AKA the one where pomni replies "im not a child you dont need to hype me up").

and again you also could have argued she IS overbearing at times, specifically in ep5, but all of that is easily justified, considering that jax DID drive a person (and probably even two) to suicide in front of her very eyes. i would be more concerned/pissed if ragatha saw allat happening and DIDN'T try to do smth about pomni and jax getting closer.

as it stands ragatha didn't do twat to jax except be... nice? to her? and i really dont see the problem in that, if anything i think it would perfectly showcase how deluded jax is in her projections onto others. how even simple kindness looks like a threat/a ploy to get under her skin due to her past trauma.

on ragatha's side it could showcase how much of a people-pleaser she is. that, even though she didn't essentially do anything wrong, if jax treats her horribly then that immediately means "it must be her fault" and not just. her being abused.

"i try too hard to get onto their good side and then end up pushing them away" like god forbid a girl be nice/considerate towards others in an already terrible situation.

please tell me if im missing something because ive rewatched this show in one sitting like recently and i have NEVER once seen her be fake or manipulative or anything like the show is trying to present her as. if anything she's TOO vulnerable with others my girl can't stop oversharing and trauma-dumping at every turn

(i feel so bad but i still can't help giggling at how she jsut randomly starts talking about her mum verbally abusing her & that one absolutely gold of a dialogue "hey pomni remember that one time i got violently tossed and slammed against a wall lol while you ditched me and ran away to save your own skin hahahah" does she know that her being in excruciating pain is not as funny as she thinks it is?)

ok it's been long enough. Can I be honest and admit that watching her talk with kinger in episode 6 felt lackluster when I first watched it. Like legitimately the most interesting part of that conversation to me was the 'and then you showed up' part. Everything else kinger told her was completely understandable because she CAN be a people pleaser to a debilitating extreme. But in the context of the entire show and what we see on screen? It really does not feel like she ever did anything wrong to ANYONE other than herself 😭 and it's soooo frustrating to see the narrative of 'we all did bad things' like that doesn't feed into her insecurities about herself that's simply not true!!!!!!!
