yes. it's one of my favorite facts about her :D and although I don't personally relate to seeing horror as a chance to alleviate those types of emotions (am not a horror guy), I can only assume that it's somewhat(?) similar to why the cut concept of her having stuffed organs is so intriguing to me. maybe like, where ragatha's horror movies are horror movies- MY horror movies is HER experiencing body horror thats more or less treated as so insignificant in the show (ntm ragatha herself) AND in actual discussions that it's often only regarded as a joke in the grand scheme of things

How would watching it all in one sitting feel different from doing so during its release time? Is it a general thing or more specific to tadc in your opinion

i think its more a general thing but it can also depend on specific shows.

but to spare the nitty gritty details, its more about the time spent in-between watching the episodes that allows a person to soak in the information fed to you by the show. and tadc's specific difference in comparison to high budget shows with stricter standards and less creative freedom is that it takes a MUCH longer time to finish episodes, which in turn aids in theorizing and generally like, celebrating fandom creativity, which is its own downfall when certain expectations are set. ESPECIALLY if you get really into it, enough to dig into the fandom and its creators alike, being privy to what its creator and anyone who had a hand in its final conception has to say about it

like. tell me a lot of the disappointment didnt come from things being promised beforehand and the failure in following up on it. not just on goose's side of saying episodes will focus on certain characters, or that its a character(plural)-driven show as opposed to a character(singular)-driven show. part of why the finale is so soured to me outside of my writing complaints and like getting spoiled lol is that whole theatrical fiasco when glitch has made a tweet about prioritizing releasing its episodes on youtube first for free after people got worried about them partnering up w netflix

none of these would be anything any casual viewer wouldve had a problem about if they decided to watch everything in one sitting. it just then now depends on that persons taste if they want to see anything more beyond what the show could give

only recently got into tadc (hilariously bad timing ik) but i looove a messy toxic mother daughter relationship (i love you and i hate you and i am so scared of becoming you and so on) so going off of the fanart, thinkpieces, etc that came out after the leaks but before the youtube premiere, i thought it would've been sick (in a delicious way) if when ragatha learned about the situation between jax and her mother instead of trying to comfort her or feeling disturbed, ragatha just felt... jealous isn't the right word but something along those lines. like god i wish i'd been able to push back against her like you did. i wish i could've hurt her like she hurt me. i wish she'd died and i wish i'd done it. meanwhile jax (in my mind at the time) would've been grappling with the opposite thoughts (oh my god. oh my god. what have i done) as a fun flip to their characters and dynamic. anyway i hope that made all sense and wasn't weird to share, i love your art and thoughts on ragatha!! such a complex character

nothing is ever bad timing to get into something me thinks (unless ur the type of person to care about stuff like theorizing or joining an active fandom) in FACT. I feel like watching tadc in the runtime it's had vs. all in one sitting reallllly affects your general perception of it. But that's a discussion for another time
