All well and good, except this time the new person was repeating that wonderful old chestnut, "Ed was domestically abusing Izzy." Dunno about you, but I'd really rather not see the b.s. that particular take sends flying around the tags again. I blocked the new person for it.

point is you could just do that instead of blowing up their notes. you don't have to say anything to them. also every casual viewer of ofmd I know in real life thinks what ed did to izzy was fucked up and too far, even if they don't use the word "abuse."

it's understandable to have things that Upset You. lord knows I got all kindsa tags and content blocked because seeing people talking about The Topic gets me so upset I physically can't calm down for hours. idk if you have "izzy" content-blocked yet but maybe you should do that, if only for your own peace of mind.

and if you're up for it, let me propose an extra challenge: writing your thoughts to people you're about to block or whom you've already had blocked for years and then not sending it. I totally get needing to get the words out of your head, I've struggled with thoughts unrelentingly bouncing around my head until I type them out. but it's equally cathartic to type it out in a google doc or whatever (or typing it out in a reblog or anon ask and then deleting it), and this way you're not bothering people you don't like interacting with anyways. tumblr should be a happy place, a fun place. I want you, I want everyone, to have fun!

My grandma just called and, among other things, said “You have hips. That’s good! Men like hips!” and then she interrupted herself to say “Women like hips. People of your preferred gender like hips. I can never remember” And I was like “Thanks grandma! My preferred gender is none of them, no thanks.” and she was like “Okay, no one will comment on your hips!” very self satisfied, like “aha, I have figured it out” I think like half her grandkids are some variety of not-straight and she can’t always remember which is which but she is the epitome of like “she’s a little confused, but she’s got the spirit!”

Trans at nearly 49, celebrating 16 years now on HRT. The state of the world has made me double down this past year on things that bring me joy (clothing being one) and I've become far less self-conscious standing out because of it.

It was tempting to skip TDOV this year, to not have to deal with the surge of threats in my notes & inbox, to try to take a break from being highly visible in the way a target is visible.

But, it's important to persist and be there for my trans siblings who can't be visible or are otherwise feeling alone.

I still get weekly Asks from young folks amazed that growing old is a possibility for people like us. These messages break you a little, but it's a burden I'm happy to bear. <3

Seven (often stylized as Se7en) is a 1995 American crime thriller film directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker. Walker, an aspiring writer, based Seven on his experiences of moving from a suburban setting to New York City during a period of rising crime and drug addiction in the late 1980s. An Italian film company optioned his script, but following financial difficulties, the rights were sold to New Line Cinema. Studio executives were opposed to the script's bleak conclusion, insisting on a more mainstream and optimistic outcome. Fincher, determined to re-establish himself after a career setback with his directorial debut Alien 3 (1992), was mistakenly sent Walker's original script and, convinced of its merit, committed to directing the project if the original ending remained intact. Principal photography took place in Los Angeles between December 1994 and March 1995, on a $33–$34 million budget.

But isn't it scary, to think that there's a highest number? That if you made 99 good memories, you couldn't hold any more?
