i tried really hard to narrow it down but these are some of my top paul images. happy birthday mama never die ever

Ah! Now, I’ve wondered this for absolutely years because I’ve always thought the same, but someone recently told me it comes from a comment in some book (lol…the king of sources I am not) in which George’s mam said they called him that in the family as a nickname and it’s pronounced “Joe”. But I agree, I hate it because I imagine it being said as in “geode”. Really it throws me when people use nicknames there’s no audio of them saying, because there is so much audio and they basically usually just used each other’s first names, or longified endearment versions ie Johnny, Ritchie, Georgie. One or two wild “Macca” recordings.
