ouuugghhhh i want to run tabletop games again but i don't know like anyone who likes playing ttrpgs anymore...

at the end of the day i am actually just poly because i'm a slut anyway so who cares

it's why i've been less keen on the idea of being "someone's girlfriend" in general lately. not that i'm totally opposed to it (as a girlfriended individual myself, even!) but that i don't really understand what use the label gives me. people naturally change over time, grow closer or further apart. i feel like with my friendships, without a whole lot of Effort on either of our parts, we either spend more time with each other When We Want To or give each other space When We Want To and it's not something that has to be heavily negotiated. what use is it deciding ahead of time that "when we want to" doesn't actually matter, that we Must spend time around each other to fill up the Relationship Maintenance Gauge, or else things will Collapse?

i've always found the line between close friendship and relationships to be incredibly thin, i have a small set of people i love and all the "relationship" label really does is imply (and, some might argue, Enforce) a certain level of time commitment with that person, an obligation to Make It Work No Matter What

like it's true that being prone to jealousy makes it difficult to be poly but this is often used as a bludgeon by people in poly relationships so they can pretend that they aren't neglecting their partners

i would say that most people probably do not have the emotional maturity for polyamory and the fact that poly shit is the Default Engagement Method for many newly-out tgirls (at least in t4t spaces) leads to a lot of Easily Avoidable Fucked Up Shit happening
