I think I'm doing okay. It's just highly stressful getting a family calling from a hospital and explaining things to them about the cremation process while I'm in my own kitchen 😅😅😅
I think the most common misconception people have is that cremation is fast. It is not. The actual cremating of remains is yeah 2-3 hours usually, but leading up to that takes forever. I generally summarize a lot when speaking to a family who is having a hard time, but I always give the estimate of 2 weeks for a cremation. Some people will call and be like my loved one passed away if we use you will they be cremated tomorrow? And I'm like I am so sorry, but no. Which like why would people know that it's not that fast like I get why it's a misconception so I don't hold it against them at all it's just yeah a giant process and I hate being another bearer of bad news but that's just the job, man 😫 2 weeks. About. Yep.
