weight of the kingdom, thoughts of failing as a mother and a queen, felt her own daughter was right that she should be taking action rather than always defending because of the fear of casualties, feeling inadequate, feeling like a coward. the thought of not being a good enough mother. the best thing she could possibly to do is remove glimmer's burden (herself) and sacrifice herself by pulling out the sword. this was better, this was best for glimmer, proud of her because she was stronger, i'd just drag her down.
