After the cosplay meetup tonight we grabbed a few photos of our beloved Jojo. Maybe someday his storyline will be resolved! đĽ°
I -love- survival horror games. Last fall, Alan Wake 2 kept me company as I recovered from surgery; despite the terror of the game, it felt cozy.
I recently picked up 2014âs The Evil Within, directed by Shinji Mikami, known for the progenitor of the genre, Resident Evil. Despite being over a decade old and having some pretty frustrating sections, I really liked the creative vision and aesthetics of the game. It feels like the artsy sibling of RE4, with some pretty out there story ideas that donât quite come together. Survival horror games often have the player on their own, so I was immediately charmed by your companion character, Joseph Oda.
I certainly have a soft spot for a proper gentleman in glasses who can kick ass; see also, Ignis Scientia.
So anyway, hereâs my closet cosplay of Joseph (minus his gloves for the photo oops). I eagerly await The Evil Within 3 when he will marry Sebastian Castellanos and they will live happily ever after.
Last weekend was extraordinary.

At first, I was anxious to take on this character; he means a lot to a lot of people (including my wife and I!) and I was worried I wouldnât be able to do him justice. Everyone was so kind and receptive to him - thank you.

The wonders of Dok Ondarâs Den of Antiquities
She took a moment to look above her, to take in the cacophony of decorations that adorned the walls, the railings, the ceiling. Creatures from worlds sheâd never seen, the helmets of pilots long dead, the weapons of fearsome warriors, whose names were lost to time. Thousands of moments in time hung above her, all coated in a layer of dust.
