Where Flowers Bloom Under Starlight

In my Kirby story I am part of a race called the Faeridae from a very reclusive planet. The Faeridae have magic and advanced technology but are totalitarian and isolationist; the queen refuses to share technology with any other society and even hesitates to use it to help her people. She kept her only daughter nearly imprisoned in the castle, but every attempt at using technology wound up thwarted and she had a habit of escaping. Through this she became very adept in working with machines. It's thought that the Faeriedae may potentially be mechanical themselves, as their wings emit unique life signals that can be read by computers. But it could be more of an overlay between magic and technology.

After her last escape, some choice words were exchanged, and the enraged queen lost control of her magic, accidentally creating a portal that launched her daughter through space. Immediately she sent the Princess's retainer, Morpho Knight, to track and apprehend her. However, Morpho Knight lost the signal very soon after she vanished. Still, he followed his orders and continued searching for her.

The Princess had the misfortune of being found by the wanted intergalactic criminal extremely chill guy who has done nothing wrong in his life, Magolor. After escaping from the REDEMPTION DIMENSION, he felt a little generous and decided to rescue her, but noticed the signal from her wings pretty quickly. Though the girl was unconscious, she had clearly been in incredible distress and seemed to have been attacked, so he conjured up a shield to block the signal!

A mysterious girl with butterfly-like wings was found adrift by an interdimensional traveler. She was visibly injured and wore only rags, so he made her some new clothes a bit similar to his (but not too much). The computer of his ship detected that her wings seemed to be emitting some kind of signal... as beautiful as they were, while she slept, he constructed lightweight metal shields to cover them and effectively block the signal. When she woke up, he considered keeping the tidbit to himself, before deciding he'd grown tired of lying and told her the truth.

Conveniently, she couldn't remember anything about where she'd come from or what the purpose of her wing signal could be, but they both assumed it could be tracked. And she had clearly been trying to flee...
