- He’s gay but has been closeted for his entire life. He knows about and accepts his sexuality, but keeps it on the down low to avoid any negative ramifications on his career.

- This isn’t strictly about Pryde, but I think that the Empire and by extension the first order aren’t queer friendly spaces. The vibe is very “don’t ask don’t tell”. That being said, it’s still the navy, and you know what they say about it…

- He’s careful with his money and due to his job, life circumstances and modest lifestyle, has acquired a fair bit of wealth.

- One of his life’s biggest regrets is that he never found anyone to spend it with. He always prioritized his career and thought that he could never get married because of his sexuality. Once Kylo takes over, he kinda realizes that times have changed and not that many people would care if he dated a man. That being said, he definitely thinks it’s too late for him.

- He’s a fairly classic kind of guy. He likes old fashioned, quality things and doesn’t pay much attention to new things, beyond what is strictly required for work.

- He 100% looks down on young people. He’ll go on boomer-esque rants about how “kids these days are ruining _____”

- He’s more open minded than he initially seems. Canonically, he’s fairly chill with people like Vader and Ren who are force users. I feel like this could extend to other identities as well. Other types of religious people, trans people, other sentient species, people with different accents or backgrounds, etc. As long as they don’t stand in the way of the empire/first order, he doesn’t care.

- I also think he could be a somewhat understanding mentor figure (assuming he found someone he actually likes enough to want to mentor). He himself has a checkered past, so I think his patience for dealing with other people’s issues could be higher if he deems them worthy of his attention.
