Larys is such a great subversion of the classic fantasy trope of an scheming eunuch advisor to a king it's beautiful.

When Larys first set his sight on Aegon he was insecure, impulsive, desperate to be liked, forever seeking validation he’d never quite receive. Men like that were easy to steer. All Larys had to do was whisper the right words, nudge the right doubts, and Aegon would dance his way into whatever trap Larys required.

But power is a strange intimacy and slowly his game shifted. The manipulations became counsel. The act became reality.

The scene at Aegon's bedside where Larys tears up is THE best scene in season 2 for me, amazing acting, great dialogue writing. The clear shift in their relationship was amazingly done.

Larys decided that if there is any man in the realm who deserves to prove them wrong, it's the one they thought would fail. And if Larys had to drag him toward greatness by the throat.

Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh truly begin to embody the doomed tragedy of Cain and Abel the second they are reunited in the Georgian woods. To Rick, to Shane, Lori is their God. They worship at her altar.

Abel is Rick, Rick is Abel. He walks in the light.

Cain is Shane, Shane is Cain. He hungers for the light.
