Create With Me, Let’s Call It Sin

I feel the sickness starts off very mental, latching on to desires that already exist and feeding off them/making them toxic (the mountain, gold, Bilbo), and only as it progresses do things start to change physically… as it gets worse and his horns grow in, he becomes unable to remove his crown, and ends up having to break one of his horns against a pillar in the grand hall to get it off (see his breakdown/throwing his crown off in BOTFA)… the scales are meant to look like slag on molten metal but I’m not sure how well that comes across… a normal dragon has an organ where fuel (fats/oil) for their fire breath is stored, and are then ignited by the strike of scales in the back of their throat, but a dwarf body isn’t meant to sustain that, so the fire burns him up inside and gives his chest/throat an unnatural glow and smoky breath… okay I’m done now……
