Rocky on the trip back to Erid registering that Grace has defaulted to using he/him for him for sexism reasons and that they don't actually have to go by he/him. xe does some research on the human computer and spends several weeks cycling through different pronoun sets. starts switching so frequently Grace becomes convinced sie has started being difficult on purpose. after a while Grace is like omg will you just pick one and stick with it. Rocky is like okay i have decided. rock/rocks. rockself. Grace like well i can't argue with that.

imo the problem with the "school shooter chic" line, along with its current evolution of "future serial killer vibes," is that, if we're being honest, when a high school boy wants to insult another high school boy based on his appearance of long hair, nail polish, and jewellery, there is a term he's going to use, and it is neither "school shooter" nor "serial killer." but society isn't strong enough to weather jared kleinman saying a slur live on stage.

but just imagine. jared says it, connor stares, he stutters "I'm using it in a reclaimed way" then runs away.

it would recontextualize jared's later zeal for how there's "nothing unrealistic about the love one man feels for another" as being part of Jared Kleinman's "Please Believe I'm Not Actually Homophobic" Apology Tour
