Thank you to The New York Times for their front page editorial on “The Gun Epidemic” in our country. NYT would not waste their first front-page editorial since 1920 on nothing. I don’t necessarily have the answers, but something has got to change. 

Thank you to Maxim Russia for their “Gays, We Respect” article, demonstrating that even if their government wishes to sanction sexuality, they cannot deny the influence these bent men have. Baby steps.

Thank you to the Montgomery Mall Santa for heralding the coming of the apocalypse by taking SELFIES instead of the traditional Christmas portrait.

Thank you to Ohio Governor John Kasich for highlighting the powerful words of Vietnam POW Colonel Tom Moe regarding The Trump’s alarming rhetoric.

Thank you to Marlon Wayans for serving parody that supersedes the original with Fifty Shades of Black. I have no plans to ever see Fifty Shades of Grey but I would definitely watch this... on an airplane. Scary Movie came out FIFTEEN YEARS AGO (feel the wrinkles) and he still has the parody game on lock. “Don’t let me get to clappin’, boo!” might be the line of the year.

Thank you to The Hollywood Reporter for continuing to prove that opportunity for women of color does not exist with the BRIGHTNESS of their annual Actress Roundtable cover.

Thank you to Dr. John Bradford, a forensic psychiatrist testifying for Subway sandwich spokesman Jared Fogle, for introducing “hypersexuality” as the new “gay panic defense.” Hypersexuality is a real thing, but the way it is being utilized here reeks of desperation.

Thank you to this brave Muslim man for trying to demonstrate to the world that the importance of love + acceptance. I understand this will not change some people’s minds and it will not heal the persistent wounds this world possesses, but Paris, we stand with you.

Thank you to omniscient karma for doling out sweet justice to Martin Shkreli whose company Turing Pharmaceuticals just posted a third-quarter net loss of $14.6 million, due in no small part to the company’s overnight 5,000% price hike on its HIV treatment drug Daraprim ($13.50/pill to $750/pill) to turn a profit.

Thank you to Idris Elba for honoring the world with his tire-fucking fitness skills in Men’s Health. He really makes me want to do burpees and shadowbox. His absolutely brilliant performance in Luther still fails to really bring the sexy portrayed below. I join the chorus who assert he should bring his swagger + handsomeness to Bond. My word is Bond.
