Spain was a temperate country unlike the players you had to manage at Re-al , you were here just 2 weeks and youve already lost your shit at players half your intellectual level and double your height ... You got why everybody was so obsessed with kicking a ball around ,but you never got why they never believed in peace and quiet!, it was a virtue here
And today was such a day , teammates trying to slack off at practice or yelling at eachother in spanish. You were exhausted, you felt more like a baby sitter than a manager... And today was your day to meet the japanese prodigy Sae itoshi after his very anticipated return from Japan for his passport renewal.
You knew what he looked like ... Somewhat , you'd seen his face on billboards and in blurry tv interviews so you were a bit terrified to meet him , but you were the manager the one who had to stay stern so these dickwads didn't stray away into scandals or worse... BOREDOM!!!
It was 2:30 pm way past lunch time but players were starting to feel the affects under the sun doing drills while you walked around reading... Not on strategy... Something completely opposite.
CLICHΓ YA ROMANCE WITH SOME TYPE OF PLOT : it was gripping ! The angry CEO and spineless Y/N fighting over something irrelevant (but who am I to tell you) . Shamlessly invested in the corridor that was empty you heard a tap but thought nothing of it ... The climax was coming (definitely not hers)
And on your asscheeks you went , wind out of your lungs on the clock hard floor groaning at the bitch you quite literally had a collasally bumped into you FUCK .... YOU FORGOT WHICH PAGE YOU WERE ON, swearing at the guy a bit under your breath to see the heathen who threw you off balance-
Because what do you mean you bumped into this auburn haired greek good looking guy who had eyes that literally burnt holes through you standing tall with a duffel thrown over his shoulder sunglasses a bit off center from the bump
You both said at the same time. while you rubbed a sore spot on your shoulder where the book had flung itself at you , forget the chapter this guy was made of good genes and admirers

So this was the hype guy... This was the guy you had to manage , and of course this was your first interaction with him.
He bent down picked up your book with ease , face still disdainful dusted it off read the cover and scrunched his nose a bit as if he smelt something foul. ( I am extremely to all people who read actual Good books but for the plot please)

Surely you were gonna be the stern ass manager but rn that cognitive function was applying for it's 2 second notice , so you threw a fumbled smile awkward in that squiggly way an anime character would do , snatching the book
"I swear Its not that bad of a book"
"surely it isn't" , he deadpanned in careful english

He nods and walks off no reaction.

"Mr itoshi! I'm actually the manager" , your voice comes out a bit wobbly
He turns an eyebrow raised
" great ... I'll come around 6 to talk"
Oh wonderful how this day never ends , you're gonna go dig a ditch and cry in it
But little did you know his brows had furrowed when he turned interested ... What type of manager read YA and kept a whole team in line? ... Not that lukewarm , maybe a bit attracted but we'll never know until 6 o'clock?
