The dragon Oltura from Monster Hunter Stories 2; remade from scratch as a World-style model.

Very tricky project; around 15 million polys and several 4k texture sets. Those wings are almost double the normal surface area of the monster; but I feel like this came out pretty well.

Up next on the reference sheet train is Shard of course! Here’s a some mini things about him as well:

The reason why shard has a prosthetic arm is because when he was accidentally turned organic, he had a cannon equipped. So physically it ended up being a clean nub where his hand should be. When he’s not using the robo arm he’s taping random stuff to the nub saying he’s “holding” whatever he’s got.

Shard’s eyes and power shard do in fact change color in organic form. But only from green to red. Of course the turn red when he’s angry but also while being mischievous and annoyed.

The robot is touched-starved, almost all the time. Ever since he became organic and received a head pay and hug from Chuck, he can’t get enough! He’ll happily say yes to any hug, and it isn’t uncommon to see chuck sleeping on the couch sitting up and shard snuggled in next to him playing a video game or texting his friends.

And finally for now, even though Jack is his code name in the SFF, it was chuck who gave him the name as his actual name. I’d go in more about this but it will show up in the shard comic :]
